ahem, i also have the entire sonny chiba street fighter collection and i'm more than positive that there's only three movies, not four.

there is..
"the street fighter"
"the return of street fighter"
and
"the street fighter's last revenge"

that's it.
i know because like i said, i own the collection in a box set.

i do believe you're mistaking the sister of street fighter as a credible sonny chiba movie. unfortunately you bought the sister of street fighter collection and not the "best of sonny chiba" street fighter collection.
the first street fighter is easily the best of all three street fighters.

the apartment building fight scene made me almost die laughing.
nowadays a movie like this is good for three things.
1. nostalgic value
2. laughing at cheesyness
3. being used as a basis for comparison to other, newer movies.

the series is definitely worth a watch, although i wouldn't recommend sister of street fighter though... we all know how horrible those spinoff movies are.

you've all seen karate kid, the old one. and who doesn't like those movies? one and two are awesome. or were awesome rather. the karate kid part 3 is a little wavy but it sticks with the story and has follow up characters from previous karate kid movies.

now... who the fuck here thinks that "the next karate kid" was a good idea?
hilary swank as the karate kid?
WTF????!!
WHY!!???
point made.

Sonny Chiba totally kicks ass! You may have seen this movie on a lazy sunday afternoon on a channel with martial arts theater showcase. Don't let the date of the movie fool you. When this film first came out, it was rated X in the USA and Canada, because of the exessive violence. The violence in this film pales in comparison to what you can see in the theater now. However, the Gritty storyline was way ahead of its time. Movies with the same style of gritty crime drama have only become mainstream here in the past 15 - 20 years. You have to see it to beleive it! Terry Suguri (Sonny Chiba) is the Hitman every Martial Arts buff will love! He destoys all of his opponents with such admirable intensity. He doesn't let down his scoundrelism and scanlessness values for a second! He's a dirty MOFO right till the end. (A quality many modern films lack) there are only antiheroes in this flick.

quote from the movie: "We will see how you make out on the streets!"
