Michael Cera is the most bland, boring actor ever. I would have enjoyed this movie much more if I didn't have to look at his Male-Paris-Hilton face, and listen to his shrill ostrich voice. He ruins literally every project he touches, I really don't understand why he's an actor. Being an actor entails... ACTING... not playing the exact same character every movie. He has no range whatsoever, he plays the same shy nerd in everything.

I finished reading the last book just before the movie released, I was pleasantly satisfied. Most definitely a proud purchase; shame it didn't make a profit.

I think Edgar Wright did an excellent job with this.

Blew my mind, saw it several times (which is unusual for me). I would see it again.

It was everything I could have asked for.

Well lets start off saying: I watched it sober.
Sober, it really didn't seem all that amazing... in fact a little annoying =(
Maybe I'll have better luck watching it when not sober wink

I got to be an extra in the film. Seeing it behind the scenes and how much work that went into the last detail is phenomenal..
How they ended up placing it all together with editing- and the EDITING: fabulous. So Unique in depicting a real life video game feel.
The Soundtrack is great.
It's [pop]culturally relevant..
They drop the word Toronto, and show plenty of Toronto scenes and make many references to it wink
The Storyline, the characters...So loveable
That was probably all out of order but..

just see it. I doubt you'll regret it.

The comics are better than the movie, but the movie does a pretty good job at representing the characters and the story. The only thing I have against the movie is that some of the better scenes from the comics were not included in the movie..

I am in love with Ramona's style, and I thoroughly enjoy the Toronto references. It's a great homeage to our lovely city

Finally a character breaking role for Micheal Cera. I agree with Muku about the novels being better, though it's still one of the few movies that does justice to the books.

Such epicness. I enjoyed this movie SOOO much, both times. wink

I don't even understand how someone can say the comics are a thousand times better. The movie did SUCH a fucking good job of exactly copying the comics into movie form.

It's like reading scott pilgrim ON A BIG SCREEN AND WITH COLOUR!! wow love

Seriously though. Watch that shit.

Scott Pilgram was a wicked movie. Finally, a movie not pretending it's somewhere else!! We need more of those types. Also, it being the directors 2nd movie ever done, pretty impressive.

The Comics Are A Thousand Times Better. Can't Wait For The Animated Series

I thought this movie was going to suck. I saw it in Winnipeg and it was brilliant! It was really well filmed. I really liked that it was filmed in Toronto as well because there was a lot of inside lines and places that people wouldn't have understood unless they knew Toronto well. Not to mention the epicness of epic. Just fucking fantastic.

Go see it.

I was really surprised as to how much I enjoyed this movie. It's nice seeing a movie about Toronto.

I saw the movie before reading the comics, which was probably a mistake, and once I do read them, I might like the movie a little less.

But I thought it was really fun, the jokes were witty and I love Michael Cera. His comedic timing and overall dorkiness make him awesome.

Interesting and unique visual style, cool fight scenes, love the costuming (especially Ramona Flowers). Lots of excellent humor. One of the few gay characters that has actually been fleshed out in recent films and not relegated to the "shopping buddy." On the badside the romance between Scott and Ramona, which is supposed to be the whole point of why he's putting his neck on the line, is weak at best. Scott, who is a bit of a lady's man in the comics, comes off as a whiney loser and self absorbed jerk. He's not the kind of guy the super-hip (and gorgeous) Ramona would even look twice at without some sort of reason being given. There's not really anything redeeming about Scott, despite the fact laughing at his life is quite enjoyable, and in the end the film sort of comes off like a hipsters Nintendo-enhanced dream and Scott's "lesson learned" moment at the end is really forced. The fight scenes towards the end also seem rushed and you get bored quickly with the repetition of witty banter-fight scene-witter banter-fight scene.
