Sleeper of the decade. This film was excellent and had something for everyone. Check it out if you have yet to do so.

Avatar would have suck had it not been for all of the CG.

I'm giving it a 5 star because i can't stand the fact that this is actually a lesser rated movie than 'Avatar' on this thing, and that is just a travesty.

Compelling story, you easily get sucked in, truly one of the best Middle-Eastern war movies out there today.

I was so happy when James Cameron lost to his wife for best Film award! Hurt Locker = 20x better than Avatar, if not more. Being a Film Major i was w00tin' for her haha.

This review was kinda a mind splat, i'm tired, sorry.

I usually dislike American military movies, but this particular film was compelling and emotive. I felt it portrayed the Iraqi war honestly and with integrity. The gruesome blood and gore of war was minimized while the film was still able to tell the story or soldiers at war.

Great direction and excellent story telling. 4 out of 5 stars because I felt there could have been more sub-plots. I felt the DVD-boy's body-bomb sub-plot was good, but a little weak. Also, the fears of the loved-ones in America could have had more show than just the 3 minutes at the end of the film.

Great movie, will recommend to anyone - ESPECIALLY those who badmouth soldiers and the war in Iraq.
