Finally something worth talking about, I would say better than Johnny red or black.

Not bad. Had better. Grants is still one of my favorite distilleries, still family owned too.

a fine scotch is like a fine cigar, and both are best together. it's as much a matter of personal preference for specifics than a competition for overall quality.
if you like what the folks at glenfidditch do, then this is your one-to-one mixer, or on-the-rocks sipper.
not something to focus on and pine over, but not something to be knocked back, either.
a fairly clean nose, a medium bodied taste heavy on the earthy botanicals that is, as previously mentioned, best paired with a good smoke. a good, casual, scotch.

not one of my favorites.

An expensive drink that gets you more than some drunk.

For the price it is a well balanced Scotch. What one would expect from the famed Glenfiddich Distilleries. I suggest spending the extra few bucks though and getting the 18 year reserve because I like 18 year olds and that way you wont end up in jail.

I love this stuff, it's great for an inexpensive single malt scotch. Quite light and smooth, clean taste, not too peaty, subtle oak flavours.

Definitely a 5 star scotch.
