Lizardo

In her tear jerking memoir, Wurtzel pours her heart out as she recalls her experience with major depression. A journalism major at Harvard, Wurtzel began her downward spiral into the darkness of deep depression in her tender pre-teen years and in this novel, she lists her experiences with drugs, dealing with divorced parents and eventually being prescribed the, at the time-new, anti-depressant, Prozac. Wurtzel writes poetically, beautifully, as her soul is just smeered across every page. Worth the read for sure, but keep the tissues handy.
