Mail Call
Darkness and loniness fill my cell,
With pain and fear too great to yell.
As I wait for the mailman,
To deliver to me.
As I wipe away tears so no one will see,
I pray so sincer with head raised above.
"Please God, soon send a letter of love."
I long to gaze upon pages so dear,
With riches to bring my loved ones near.
Words of diamonds on pages of gold.
A message from heaven,
As their story is told.
"We love you and miss you,
Pray you’ll be free.
"A treasure - filled envelope,
Just for me."
Please bring memories of joy,
I once knew.
Family, friends, and things
I would do.
The darkness and pain,
Of my cell.
Will prevail,
As my name,
Again,
Was not called,
For mail - call...

Veiled In Darkness
Days vieled in darkness, nights alone in pain.
Talking to myself, I hang my head in shame.
As time passes by me, in this man made hell.
My focus turns to you; and hoping all is well.
My thoughts of you are often; and always crystal clear. For every thought of you, my heart
holds very dear. With just one look you crumbled, a man of stone. Could this be a dream? A
prince for my own? The day our eyes first met, my soul will always treasure. This one
stone, has never known. A time so filled with pleasure. From a wall of granite, to putty
in your hands. You have my heart in bondage, a slave to your demands. When the days of
darkness are gone and the nights have shed their pain, in your arms once again. I’ll be
back, in a cherished place.
To my partner in crime:
Love Ya Peanutt
Attitude
The longer I live,
the more I realize
the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude,
to me,
is more important than facts.
It is more important
than the past,
than education,
than money,
than circumstances,
than failures,
than success,
than what other people think
say or do.
It is more important
than apperance,
giftedness or skill.
It will make or
break a company.
"In life one sometimes makes bad deals."
Many things about tomorrow I don’t seem to understand:but I know who holds tomorrow and I
know who holds my hand.I can face the future with joy now unto the end.
Set Free
They say that I belong,
Behind these prison walls.
But I know I’m going home,
The day my savior calls.
Sometimes the days are lonely,
And the night’s are so long.
but then the savior takes my hand,
And tells me to be strong.
Many are the trails,
I face each and everyday.
But when I put my trust in Jesus,
He will lead the way.
I’ll not complain nor even grip,
For God is in control.
I’ll do this time and be thankful,
That He has saved my soul.
Then when the day arrives,
And they open thoes gates for me.
I’ll leave this place knowing,
That it was God who set me free.

In This Picture
In this picture
I sketch a forest
In the afternoon
White pines overhead,
Leaves crunching
Under my feet.
I am walking
Looking for you
Everywhere,
Along the trail,
Waiting in the meadow
Or at the big mock,
But wherever I go
Up or down
You are hidden,
So I step out
Of the picture
And draw you
Waiting by,
Bullfrog Quarry.
Just as I come up the trail...
You are suprised
That I have been
Looking for you
And thank me
For putting you
Into my picture
And on my hick
As I sketch myself
Following closely behind.

Handicap
A true hadicap is what we don’t do with what we have,
Not what we can’t do with what we don’t have.
"Not only does God answer prayer but His answers can make me smile".
Hold my hand everyday. Every step of the way. Let me stand where nobody stands alone.
So obey your father and your mother. Tie their instruction around your finger, so you
won’t forget them.
Take to heart all of thier advice.
