If you are more than 33 days past due on your credit products, it negatively impacts your
credit rating. Persistent late payments cause interest rate increases (+4.5%) and credit
limit decreases. When you go over your credit limit, a major fee is added to your finance
charges.
At 60+ days past due credit privileges can revoked or cancelled. Your lending product may
also be demanded (have to pay the full balance owing), finalized (relationship with said
financial institution severed), and sent to a third party collection agency for recovery.
