I started Nightmare back in ’98 along with Unabomber. Halloween was a big step forward
for Nightmare, after 20+ events under our belt. It was my personal favourite party
after-all, although I’m not quite sure Toronto’s scene is ready for those types of
parties. Although our scene is light-years ahead of America’s, musically... Canada just
doesn’t have the knowledge & desire for knowledge of good music that I wish we had. Here
we worship hype, which of course is lame & ignorant.
But to hell with that! Not much I can do to change a pravailing conscious view engrained
in the Canadian lifestyle...

I love techno, booty, hip hop, jazz, some rock & metal. Anything that’s not country,
mainstream, boring, or played-out. Turntablism is wicked.
:: CHICKS ::
I hate soul-less females who have their priorities all fucked up. I love chicks that are
real but still appealing, and ones who don’t fall for the bullshit most guys try to feed
them. Also, ones who don’t just sketch out, metaphorically (it would take me a while to
explain that one). And I like girls who have real feelings, which is a rare commodity in
this, the 21st century.
The ideal girl is someone who does not party, and is just normal. Sorry, I’ve given up
all desperate hope for party girls, for good or ill.

:: TRAVEL / BEER ::
I spent the summer touring 15 countries in Europe, checking out the party scene over
there. I also drank more beer, rum, vodka, tequila and absinthe than I’ve ever drank
before in my life. I drank over 60 different kinds of beer from 15 countries.
Mmmmm beeer! Canadian beer is shit, sorry to offend you ignorant bastards who believe
otherwise. European beer is far better.
The 9-week European tour was very life-altering, and left me with friends from around the
globe. Why must we be so sheltered, uncultured, and view the world with such
tunnel-vision here in Canada?? There’s much to be learned away from this frost-bitten
corporate-driven land we call Canada. I could go on and on about what I discovered over
there.

Canada is a great land in the sense that theoretically we all have personal freedoms in a
wide range of areas. Yet, the government is a massive beaurocratic octopus... corrupting,
spying and thieving from us with its multitude of grubby tentacles. Watch out, we may
soon be a fascist police state like the good ole US of A. It’s the North American
disease, and we’re slowly catching what America is already infected with.
So Christmas is approaching, and I am dreading it in every sense. I have no cash to be
able to afford presents for people, and the Capitalist Circus makes my heart fill with
rage. The shopping malls will soon be overflowing with mindless cattle, going through the
holiday ritual. Of course it’s all in the spirit of giving, and it’s not the spirit of it
that I detest, but the underlying corporate greed permeating the very essence of the
season. I’m getting to hate capitalism as much as I hate this modern democracy that the
States is trying to export to all these foreign countries. What value does democracy have
when it is delivered through war and implemented by force? That doesn’t sound like
democracy at all. No wonder there is so much resistance and obscene violence as a
reaction to the American Dream being shoved down the throats of all of these countries. I
guess something gets lost in translation. My biggest fear is that the American Disease
will be transmitted even more quickly across their borders to us Canucks. Although there
is a sizable group of people here who distance themselves from the ideologies and stances
taken by the Americans, there is also a good chunk of morons who identify with them,
mostly the Conservatives and those with corporate interests. When people vote and make
decisions based on how they will personally be affected financially or based on religious
beliefs, then everything starts to fall apart. What about what is the right thing to do?
Money is the ultimate factor, it seems, in the lives of 99% of North Americans. It
determines their future from an early age.
Cops.... donut-sucking, bastard, biased, corrupt, asshole mutherfuckers with nothing
better to do than harrass the general public under the pretense of "To Serve and
Protect".
Bullshit. Okay, aside from the genuinely honest and kind-hearted few who actually have
the community’s well-being in mind.... Toronto cops are acually just a bunch of
military-minded caffeine-fueled bigots run amok in an urban metropolis, just itching to
take their crazed law-endorsed & government-funded personal angst out on any unsuspecting
citizens they might come into contact with.
Fuck ’em!
