General Confessions:

Im a fairly new reruit to the scene, only being shown the way of the decks (or at least
being allowed to step up) this past summer. Previous to that I only dabbled in breaks and
a wee bit o hip hop (shoutouts to DJ Dysgyza, the SpinSensation JakeNice and the
MixKings), and *gasp*I have never been to a "real" party (feel free to intiate
me). But the decks have cast their spell on me and thanks to the guidance of DJ Catch22,
Sylent Syd, Sketchy B, DJ Samfaiman, and I-dont-care-what-you-say DJ Nubtech (there I said
it haha! This does not affect us at all, haha!) I have found my niche. And maybe being a
late starter isn’t such a bad thing...now, Im a year away from having a well paying job so
I can afford some of your crazy kids clothing...

Q: If you’ve never been to a rave, why are you on this site?:

A: Because, its not about the event...its about the culture... until this point in my life
Ive been very sheltered...I came from a small town to go to school, and there were certain
people in my life that prevented me from venturing "out on my own".... I’ve
exorcised that particular demon... and am discovering a new culture, new people with whom
I feel truly comfortable with... and those are the people that are associated with
raves...perhaps I will never see a warehouse floor... or be able to lament about never
being able to "recapture the feeling of my first rave" and blame it on the lame
candy kids who have taken over and don’t understand what its really about, but Im happy
living in my reality, where Im unable to pass judgement, everything is a new discovery and
the people that I find here are the most fantastic people Ive ever encountered. Im lucky,
I get to experience the love, the vibe of which everyone speaks...for my first
time...now...and Im absolutely in awe. Thats why Im here, for the same reason as anyone
else.
