Introduced to DJ’ing at the tender age of 15, Mark Instinct has quickly become one of
Western Canada's rising Drum and Bass talents. In early 2006 Instinct collaborated ideas
with colleagues and started a promotional company for breakbeat music and culture called
Audio Architects. Having many success's with Drum and Bass it was time to migrate to
something bigger. In early 2007 Faded Elements came into creation, bringing a bigger set
of goals and bigger set of opportunities. With having 5 years as an active DJ in the Drum
and Bass community and 2 years as one of Faded Element's frontline DJ's, Mark has had the
privilage to tear dancefloors up at a wide variety of local club events and has also found
himself behind a set of turntables in many Canadian nightclubs. Through out his travels
Instinct has had the privilage to share the stage with such talent as Ed Rush, Hive,
Noisia, Evol Intent, Pendulum, Gremlinz, Gein, Capital J, Ewun and Dj Craze just to name a
Few.
Mark has taken a big step into the electronic music community, combining his past musical
roots and a touch of his own evolved style, Instinct has perfected his sound not only
through DJ'ing, but through his own production's. In mid-2006, Marks roots started to peek
interest in him again. Crossing old loves and new loves and keeping an open ear to
everything, Mark began composing music on a more serious level, with that came the
introduction of Structurebeats. Having done Remixes for Titus1, Jalebee Cartel, Singing
Vernon, as well as his own compositions and collaberations, Mark has sucessfully achieved
3 releases worldwide as well as a full EP set for release mid to late summer of 2008.
Mark's career in Music has quickly started and this is one talent not to be missed. Any
opportunity to see what Instinct can bring to the table should not be passed up.
