Bio:
No language, just sound
that's all we need know,
to synchronise our love
to the beat of the show!

--Ian Curtis, "Transmission"

I sit before my desk and stare;
perhaps you wonder whether
I see at all. I'm looking where,
just out of sight yet just at hand,
the words take shape. I weigh them, and,
with vacant eyes and groping care,
I fit the words together.

--Ethan Cohen, "Self-Portrait"

Writing may just be an excuse to have the whole day to masturbate.
--Lewis Black, "Nothing's Sacred"

I confine myself to being. Apart from that, I intend to remember and to ramble on.
--Charles Bukowski

Deprivation is the mother of poetry.
--Leonard Cohen, "Beautiful Losers"

The distance from there to here is the measure of what I have learned from cats.
--William S. Burroughs, "The Cat Inside"

Day and night I lived in my Ford, pausing only long enough to order a hamburger and a
cup of coffee at strange roadside cafes. This was the life for a man, to wander and stop
and then go on, ever following the white line along the rambling coast, a time to relax at
the wheel, light another cigaret, and grope stupidly for the meanings in that perplexing
desert sky.

--John Fante, "Ask the Dust"

There's a prisoner in this song, but it's not me.
--John Cale, "Mailman"

I followed the course
from chaos to art
desire the horse
depression the cart.

--Leonard Cohen, "The Book of Longing"

well you know, i’m just a dude who likes music and writing and reading and certain
drugs... that pretty much sums it up. what else should i write?

i like kittens, i like sunshine, i like the smell of pizza pies and ether. i like dreams,
i like nightmares, i like lightning and laughter. I like colours, fire, stars, the
moonlight, the tide, sand and cobwebs, wine and blood, passion, books, stories, ideas,
love, music (YES, ALWAYS CRANKED MUSIC), grace, mercy, fantasy, pleasure, friendship,
phoenix feathers, phoenix ashes, men, women, sweat, moans, eyes, skin, teeth, hair,
fingerprints, words...

if i were forced into defining myself i'd say i was "artsy fartsy".

i play in a band called Boxes & Bags. we're a riot, or so i'm told. check out our
myspace.

i write stories and poems galore. i take fottergraphs. i dance. i mix tapes. i collage. i
sing in and out of the shower. i act up. i appriciate the nitty gritty. i paint, but never
by numbers. i beat the piano and drums equally rough.

and here are some more quotes for people to ponder:

As the game continues you should seek to say ever more clearly what you truly believe,
even if what you truly believe turns out to be wrong.
It can be a hazardous and difficult task. But if you can’t laugh at the impossible odds we
all endure as we seek to understand and know, then you will surely sleep restless in the
coffin.

--Charles Bukowski, ‘The Joke is on the Sun”

a great writer stands above movements.
--Hunter S. Thompson

You gotta have somethin to sit on,
before I carry you home.
Don't say I ain't got it,
coz you can't do without it.
Too much is rough,
but not too bad.
But it's better than dyin
from somthin that you never had.

--James Brown, "Greedy Man"

I've got soul, but I'm not a soldier.
--Brendan Flowers, "All These Things That I've Done"

I'ma open up a store for aspiring MC's.
Won't sell 'em no dreams,
but the inspiration is free.

--Kanye West, "Gone"
