“Expansion of the mind is not found through the use of narcotics; for they only provide
illusion, perversion and ultimately destruction. No; expansion of the mind is found
through the exercise of that which you wish to expand.. trust me I am speaking from
experience!"

"When ever i come into contact with an indignant person i feel i must wash my
hands" -Cody Hawranik

"If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is,
infinite."

“Every harlot was a virgin once.”

”He who desires, but acts not, breeds pestilence.”

”I must create a system or be enslaved by another mans; I will not reason and compare: my
business is to create.”

”It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend.”

”No bird soars too high if he soars with his own wings.”

”Prisons are built with stones of Law. Brothels with the bricks of religion.”

”Prudence is a rich, ugly, old maid courted by incapacity.”

”That the Jews assumed a right exclusively to the benefits of God will be a lasting
witness against them and the same will it be against Christians.”

”The fool who persists in his folly will become wise.”

”The tigers of wrath are wiser than the horses of instruction.”

”The weak in courage is strong in cunning.”

”Those who restrain their desires, do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained.”

”Thy friendship oft has made my heart to ache; do be my enemy-for friendship's sake.”

”TO GENERALIZE IS TO BE AN IDIOT.”

”Want of money and the distress of a thief can never be alleged as the cause of his
thieving, for many honest people endure greater hardships with fortitude. We must
therefore seek the cause elsewhere than in want of money, for that is the miser's passion,
not the thief s.”

”What is grand is necessarily obscure to weak men. That which can be made explicit to the
idiot is not worth my care.”

”When a sinister person means to be your enemy, they always start by trying to become your
friend.”

”When I tell the truth, it is not for the sake of convincing those who do not know it, but
for the sake of defending those that do.”

“When thou seest an eagle, thou seest a portion of genius; lift up thy head!”

”You cannot have Liberty in this world without what you call Moral Virtue, and you cannot
have Moral Virtue without the slavery of that half of the human race who hate what you
call Moral Virtue. “ - William Blake

"what ever happend to sex drugs and rock n roll ; now all we have is aids crack and
techno" - Guns n' Roses

"this is by far the strangest life i have ever known"

“A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself.”

”Blake said that the body was the soul's prison unless the five senses are fully developed
and open. He considered the senses the 'windows of the soul.' When sex involves all the
senses intensely, it can be like a mystical experience.”

”Drugs are a bet with your mind.”

”Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of
freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free.”

”Hatred is a very underestimated emotion.”

”I am interested in anything about revolt, disorder, chaos-especially activity that seems
to have no meaning. It seems to me to be the road toward freedom... Rather than starting
inside, I start outside and reach the mental through the physical.”

”I am the lizard king. I can do anything.”

”I believe in a long, prolonged, derangement of the senses in order to obtain the
unknown.”

”I like any reaction I can get with my music. Just anything to get people to think. I mean
if you can get a whole room full of drunk, stoned people to actually wake up and think,
you're doing something.”

”I see myself as a huge fiery comet, a shooting star. Everyone stops, points up and gasps
"Oh look at that!" Then - whoosh, and I'm gone... and they'll never see anything
like it ever again, and they won't be able to forget me - ever.”

”I see myself as an intelligent, sensitive human, with the soul of a clown which forces me
to blow it at the most important moments.”

”If my poetry aims to achieve anything, it's to deliver people from the limited ways in
which they see and feel.”

”It's like gambling somehow. You go out for a night of drinking and you don't know where
your going to end up the next day. It could work out good or it could be disastrous. It's
like the throw of the dice.”

”Listen, real poetry doesn't say anything; it just ticks off the possibilities. Opens all
doors. You can walk through anyone that suits you.”

”Love cannot save you from your own fate.”

”Music inflames temperament.”

”People fear death even more than pain. It's strange that they fear death. Life hurts a
lot more than death. At the point of death, the pain is over. Yeah, I guess it is a
friend.”

“Sex is full of lies. The body tries to tell the truth. But, it's usually too battered
with rules to be heard, and bound with pretenses so it can hardly move. We cripple
ourselves with lies.”

”Some of the worst mistakes of my life have been haircuts.”

”The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your
reality for a role. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask.”

”The most loving parents and relatives commit murder with smiles on their faces. They
force us to destroy the person we really are: a subtle kind of murder.”

”There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors.”

”Violence isn't always evil. What's evil is the infatuation with violence.”

”We fear violence less than our own feelings. Personal, private, solitary pain is more
terrifying than what anyone else can inflict.”

”When you make your peace with authority, you become authority.”
- Jim Morrison

“A word to the wise is infuriating.”

”America... just a nation of two hundred million used car salesmen with all the money we
need to buy guns and no qualms about killing anybody else in the world who tries to make
us uncomfortable.”

”Call on God, but row away from the rocks.”

”Going to trial with a lawyer who considers your whole life-style a Crime in Progress is
not a happy prospect.”

”I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs or insanity for everyone, but they've always worked for
me.”

”If I'd written all the truth I knew for the past ten years, about 600 people - including
me - would be rotting in prison cells from Rio to Seattle today. Absolute truth is a very
rare and dangerous commodity in the context of professional journalism.”

”It was the Law of the Sea, they said. Civilization ends at the waterline. Beyond that, we
all enter the food chain, and not always right at the top.”

”No man is so foolish but he may sometimes give another good counsel, and no man so wise
that he may not easily err if he takes no other counsel than his own. He that is taught
only by himself has a fool for a master.”

”Publishers are notoriously slothful about numbers, unless they're attached to dollar
signs - unlike journalists, quarterbacks, and felony criminal defendants who tend to be
keenly aware of numbers at all times.”

”That was always the difference between Muhammad Ali and the rest of us. He came, he saw,
and if he didn't entirely conquer - he came as close as anybody we are likely to see in
the lifetime of this doomed generation.”

”The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know
where it is are the ones who have gone over.”

”The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where
thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.”

”There is nothing more helpless and irresponsible than a man in the depths of an ether
binge.”

”When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.”

”You can turn your back on a person, but never turn your back on a drug, especially when
its waving a razor sharp hunting knife in your eye.”

"one of Gods very own prototypes never meant for mass production.. too wierd to live;
too rare to die"

“What doesn't kill us makes us stronger.”

“To forget one's purpose is the commonest form of stupidity.”

“There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.”

“The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who

“The most spiritual human beings, assuming they are the most courageous, also experience
by far the most painful tragedies: but it is precisely for this reason that they honor
life, because it brings against them its most formidable weapons.”

“The irrationality of a thing is no argument against its existence, rather a condition of
it.”

“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If

“The future influences the present just as much as the past.”

“The doer alone learneth.”

“People who have given us their complete confidence believe that they have a right to
ours. The inference is false, a gift confers no rights.”

“Out of damp and gloomy days, out of solitude, out of loveless words directed at us,
conclusions grow up in us like fungus: one morning they are there, we know not how, and
they gaze upon us, morose and gray. Woe to the thinker who is not the gardener but only
the soil of the plants that grow in him.”

“One may sometimes tell a lie, but the grimace that accompanies it tells the truth.”

“On the mountains of truth you can never climb in vain: either you will reach a point

higher tomorrow.”

“Not by wrath does one kill, but by laughter.”

species of the dead, and a very rare species.”

“Judgments, value judgments concerning life, for or against, can in the last resort never
be true: they possess value only as symptoms, they come into consideration only as
symptoms - in themselves such judgments are stupidities.”

“It is not a lack of love, but a lack of friendship that makes unhappy marriages.”

“It is hard enough to remember my opinions, without also remembering my reasons for
them!”

“Is life not a thousand times too short for us to bore ourselves?”

“In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the
rule.”

“In every real man a child is hidden that wants to play.”

“I assess the power of a will by how much resistance, pain, torture it endures and knows
how to turn to its advantage.”

“Blessed are the forgetful: for they get the better even of their blunders.”

“At bottom every man knows well enough that he is a unique being, only once on this earth;
and by no extraordinary chance will such a marvelously picturesque piece of diversity in
unity as he is, ever be put together a second time.”

“Art is not merely an imitation of the reality of nature, but in truth a metaphysical
supplement to the reality of nature, placed alongside thereof for its conquest.”

“Arrogance on the part of the meritorious is even more offensive to us than the arrogance
of those without merit: for merit itself is offensive.” - Friedrich Nietzsche

“Failure is unimportant. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself” – Charlie Chaplin

”Boxing is a lot of white men watching two black men beat each other up.”
