VIVID MC : Born with Music in his Veins, Vivid MC aka "Lil Shit" began
composing his own beats at the tender age of 8. Due to his love for Classic Rock such as,
Led Zepplin, The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd, Vivid grew an immediate attachment to the
availability of unique sounds that could be created with a standard 5piece drum kit. At
the age of 12, after 4 years of Painting his brain with nothing but paradiddles, Vivid
began to grasp the sounds of electro music emerging from the United Kingdom and decided to
trade in his drum sticks for a pair of dance shoes. Commencing with the "Happy
Hardcore" genre, it wasn't until 1999 that Vivid experienced his first Jungle/DnB
Party. Although there to see "Daft Punk" he soon found himself in the Renegade
room bouncing to DJ Hype alongside MC's Fatz and GQ. Meanwhile, Ryan Horne aka DJ Docta, a
close friend of Vivid's had just purchased a pair of Techniques and was beginning to spin
Jungle/DnB. Spending day in and day out enrapt in tapes such as "Mach1" w/ Kenny
Ken and the late "Hyper D" tapes, Vivid started to grow an interest in what the
MC's were chatting about. Not able to understand at first, he took his time studying the
lyrics and styles of all UK jungle/dnb MC's. From a very young age, Docta and Vivid have
been doing Garage/Basement sessions at each other’s homes, practicing and mocking the
sounds they had embraced over the past few years. Instantaneously people noticed that
above anything else, Vivid had a voice that could command a crowd and started hiring him
to host local club events. Granted, he was not old enough to get into many of the clubs
that promoters wanted to hire him for, so its taken time for him to reach this point.
Vivid spends his days meeting and networking to unify other Toronto based artists. For
