I was sad going to SOAD concert and the Mars Volta opened - we had to sit there for an hour and a half waiting for the doofs to get off the fucking stage.

UGH! Mars Volta sucks so much... summer 2005 they were one of they opening bands for system of a down and the first like five minutes was alright but the rest was utter shit... The singer just moonwalked across the stage and sucked. I don't care if this is actually a decent albumn by them, their other stuff is so bad they get no redemption.

Most people I've talked to or interacted with who like The Mars Volta usually have this air of arrogance around them, while they look down their lattes past their thick rimmed glasses and feigned indifference. If somebody who were actually genuinely disaffected suggested this album to me, I might give it a listen, but as it stands, I can't go on the word of pretty much anybody in this fraudfest.

The Mars Volta is an amazing band! I don't think this was their best album, but it was good.

mars volta can do no wrong- but I still like ATDI a bit better
Queen_Jess: you only hated it because you were waiting for System or you were overwhelmed by the amount of instruments being played at the same time- that was an amazing performance

The Mars Volta are an amazing group.
A far-fetched idea from At The Drive-In.
Some of the songs though, as amazing as they are, can get kind of boring after awhile.
Great none-the-less.

i cant go a day with out listening to them i love all their track and have all three of there cds.. themj live is ammizing too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
