IR is as inventive and complex as anything on Kid A re: arpeggi, 15 step etc. yet the critics are falling over themselves saying it's "a return to form" just because they've got a bunch of melodies on it. even HTTT was more conventional but just because they didn't hide the 'bleeps' under lavish production it was considered "difficult". there is no way you can compare IR to OKC yet. if it sells more copies because of it then that's great! but they shouldn't try and sugarcoat it because for most casual fans they'll hear it and think: wtf! where's street spirit?

but at the same time another question arises. casual fans? Kid A killed off what's left of the "Cryogenic frozen Bends fans" and Amnesiac struck the final nail in the coffin.

other music just feels so inferior at the moment.
