All right, first and foremost... NOT A ZOMBIE MOVIE. It's a virus that takes over the body. Note, once you kill them, they are dead. If one of the infected is eating a dead corpse, the corpse doesn't get up. It's an infection, thus getting the name "the infected".
This movie was great, but not as good as the first. The IDEA was interesting, but they should have had more damage and trauma to live up to the first one. Agreed with my fellow PR members, sequels usually aren't as good as the movie they're following, but this was pretty damn good.
I wasn't scared. Which pissed me off. 28 Days Later freaked me out, the whole concept still does. A virus, that infects the living, causing them to create chaos and madness, while infecting and damaging any human in their way. No hope, no defense, because it happens in the blink of an eye.
Come on now, isn't that a little more likely to happen than blood sucking vampires taking over or zombies crawling out of the ground? And these bastards RUN.
They don't just run, they fucking sprint. If you weren't on the track team in high school, you're as good as dead.
Like I said, the IDEA is awesome... what they did with this one... wasn't.
Okay movie, but they had better do something better with the next one. I want to be scared.

28 Days Later was a classic. I can't believe they ruined the series with this piece of crap. I can only pray they will redeem themselves with 28 Months Later.

Monday April 14, 2008 - 9:56 AM
it lacked the quality that the first movie had, it was still a realy good movie has lots of good gore and a decent story line
Sunday April 13, 2008 - 7:17 PM
As said before, not as good as the first one.
But, they changed the director.. so what do you expect.
It's been rumoured that they'res going to be a 28 Months Later, and that Danny Boyle was going to direct it.
I didn't like the fact that Begbie (HAHA I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT) was like, the MAIN infected person, throughout that whole time, without getting killed. Pretty bogus.
And, this TECHNICALLY isn't a Zombie movie
3/5
but the first one would be 5/5
Sunday April 13, 2008 - 6:55 PM
not as well portrayed as the first, but a definite good hearted attempt. sequels are usually never good as the first except in certain situations (star wars original trilogy), but this one almost lived up the standards.
a pleasant surprise, a pleasant cast, a pleasant story line, but its still lacking something. what that something is, im not sure; maybe my view is obscured by the awesomeness that is the original. but it still didnt stop me from sampling the theme song for a track i made.

Tuesday January 01, 2008 - 11:20 PM
I didn`t think it was anywhere as good as the 1st.
Apart from the gore (which was ok) there wasn`t really anything that was making me get into it.
Saturday December 22, 2007 - 12:52 PM
28 days later > 28 weeks later
Wednesday November 28, 2007 - 2:09 AM
I was worried this was going to be lame, cause I thought they could have just left with 28 Days Later and they would have been set.
BUT, holy balls this was awesome. I LOVED the way the filmed the zombies, sort of like, you hardly seem them, but it totally works and was pretty freaky. The story line was played out very well also. Great movie.
Wednesday October 10, 2007 - 12:17 AM
I thought it was entertaining...
Tuesday October 02, 2007 - 1:57 AM
I watched this before I even saw the first. I still have yet to see the first. I'm actually worried to do so because I didn't mind this movie and I don't want to wreck it's appeal for myself.
I love zombies..I whole heartedly love zombies. I love gore, I love violence and zombies.
The sister in this movie was one of the most annoying characters in cinematic history. But other than that, I don't have too many complaints.
I wouldn't say it's the best movie..but it's definitely not the worst either.
Thursday August 30, 2007 - 6:50 PM
it was great. i loved the entire film, as good as the first.
Thursday August 30, 2007 - 5:54 AM
Fresnadillo is no Danny Boyle.
While on it's own merits it wasn't a bad zombie film (is there such a thing?) it didn't match the intensity of the first.
The opening scene was worthy of remembrance and fit very well as a precursor to some very simple exposition and it immediately brought you into the film thinking it was going to be more of the same. Unfortunately we jump 7 months and everything has changed.
The presence of the military and the fact that they were endowed with communication this time around really changed the dynamic of the rest of the film from the first one. Save the last few minutes after blondie gets roasted. What was so special about the first one was it really brought you into this world where the characters were absolutely abandoned and disconnected from everything and how someone would react in such a situation.
This one may as well have been Resident Evil for how much we're required to suspend disbelief. The kids being able to escape the district, the fact that they found the mother, the mother was immune, the father happened to have an all access pass, there were no security checks in between. It's all just a little too much.. not necessarily in a zombie flick, cos sure.. it's a zombie flick.. but in contrast to the first, it was certainly disappointing.

I had to turn it off it was so stupid.
Monday August 27, 2007 - 11:17 PM
It was awesome.
If they don't get you the snipers will.
Monday August 20, 2007 - 7:33 PM
Faaaaaantastic.
Monday August 20, 2007 - 7:19 PM
Once again.... absolute ownage!
Sunday June 24, 2007 - 1:56 AM
not since the blair witch have i seen that much "shaky camera"
robert carliale is simply a brilliant actor, his expressions convey more information in 5 seconds, than most could with 5 minutes of dialoge
this man is a big time actor, that deserves better roles.
the rest of the movie is like a bad episode of johnny quest
the kids go out, bring back trouble, and everyone is left to watch the adults pay for the children's mistakes.
honestly the kids should have been shot for being outside the quarantine zone.
just like in batman begins, if you want an effective action scene, let the viewer view the action....
close ups of flying elbows, heavy breathing and shoulder movements, do not construct a clear picture of what's going on.
we're supposed to experience a story through the characters,
i wanna see what's happening, not wonder what's happening...
i am happy however, that the story stood on it's own
Wednesday June 13, 2007 - 11:21 PM
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Wednesday June 13, 2007 - 7:28 PM
I'm a fan of the whole zombie genre and i did not like the first one. However this one had me on the edge of my seat! It was very frightning and the director did quite the job with everything. I loved it and it scared me to bits !!
5 paws !
Wednesday June 13, 2007 - 5:37 PM
wasen't a fan of the first one:/ i was not looking forwasd to the second one.
Holly fucking christ! it was so good. scared the shit out of me. all the gore suspence and thrills AWESOME! loved it!
Wednesday June 13, 2007 - 5:29 PM
HAVING A different director made it very refreshing, although the first one was NICEly done. Second one had an amazingly shot escape scene, and the music was TOP. Saw it twice to experience the music. anyway...WHO THE SHIT ASKS STUPID QUESTIONS LIEK THAT THE ANSWER IS OBVIOUSLY SO THE FILM CAN GO ON, ITS A FILM NOT A "WHATS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE".
Wednesday June 13, 2007 - 4:18 PM
WHAT! WHAT THE FUCK! YOU ARE ALL MAD!
THIS MOVIE SUCKED DON'T BOTHER WATCHING IT!
i love zombie movies and i did enjoy the first one, but this sequel sucked, and had so many parts that didn't make ANY FUCKING SENSE!
WHY: why did a civilian have access to the LAST one of the infected, with his own keycard even!
WHY: why the fuck weren't there any guards, you know, GUARDING the last of the infected?
WHY: why could 2 children easily escape a heavily fortified protection zone?
on top of these stupid things the movie fucking sucked balls it had one or two "scary" parts but it blows DON'T watch it
Wednesday June 13, 2007 - 12:08 PM
I loved it =] MmM Gore <3333 -orgasm-haha anddd that guy whos like it sucks, you suck...you suck big hairy balls.. =D
Wednesday June 06, 2007 - 2:37 AM
I've gotta admit, I was pleasantly surprised. Sequels are rarely as good as their predecessors, and this was no exception.
BUT.
It wasn't worse than the original either.
IMO, it's equally as good as 28 Days Later, and that is pretty fucking good indeed.
Wednesday June 06, 2007 - 2:29 AM
the zombies have no plur....
but totally.. agree.
what an awesome freaky movie.
I watched 28 days earlier in the night
then hit up the late night showing of 28 weeks later, right after.
if they plan do a third one?
I'd love to see something like 28 months
then maybe 28years..
28 decades...
Wednesday June 06, 2007 - 12:27 AM

Tuesday June 05, 2007 - 1:59 PM
top notch zombie flick
far superior to the original
Finally a horror movie that is actually scary and suspenseful
hands down the most intense opening sequence I have witnessed in a long long time
Monday May 14, 2007 - 11:41 AM
Best horror sequel ever. Flawless. Scary, bloody, unrelenting, frantic and fantastic.
