everyone should read the book
the first chapter is the hardest but then you get used to the scottish and its a great book

Pretty decent movie, though it does skip out on parts of the original book.
I would have been better if they had included the scene where the beat that dog to death.
But still it was cool.

I love this movie... Danny Boyle is a fucking incredible director, and Ewan Mcgreggor is deliciously attractive......

The movie does the book no justice.
It was a really well produced movie, but after reading the book and loving it, then watching the movie. It sort of killed some of the books oomph.

its not really in the comedy section. but.... i guess the part when they forget to feed the baby and he/she dies of starvation was pretty funny. i can see where the categorization comes from...

this movie is awesome but its so dumb how its labelled a Comedy! I see it more as a Drama type movie... Theres nothing funny about seeing the sad wasted lives of people even if its not real!

ewan mcgregor did a fantastic job.

Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on Sunday night. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourselves. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin?

This is an extremely good movie. I've seen it so many times and it has never been a let down.

This was an older movie and I just watched it last night for the first time and thought it was well done. I figured it was only fair it should be in the review section. :>
