i fell asleep watching it, but i was REALLY REALLY REALLY baked haha. i would totally watch it again. the problem with people not liking this movie is they think it's supposed to be some crazy fantasy when it's not. it's the most realistic way they can explain the story. it's not flashy but it doesn't need to be for those who don't have a 5 second attention span

Long movie was long, but hey Gerard Bulter kicks ass.
Wednesday May 16, 2007 - 12:35 AM
The lamest fantasy movie I have ever seen.
It was so dry and boring and the acting is just awful... he is supposed to be a beast, not a freaking caveman.

This movie is looooong.
But if you can sit through it, you will be rewarded with subtle twists and turns of emotional direction. It's very well done adaptation of the famous epic. I really quite enjoyed it.

I'm going with 3 star's here. The movie didn't do much for me, I just thought Sarah Polley was gorgeous. And I've wanted to tap Gerard Butler since he was Dracula.

Beowulf & Grendal is based on an epic poem and is dreadfully uninteresting. I fell asleep watching the DVD and when I woke up I didn't really feel like I missed anything - not after reading the back of the DVD case anyway.
Sarah Polley's bright red dreads were honestly the best thing about the film. Even the scenery and settings didn't really thrill me.
