Notes on a Scandal is based on the novel by Zoe Heller. It features wonderful performances by Judi Dench & Cate Blanchett but I felt that for the magnitude of their talent (alongside Bill Nighy who was great in his supporting role) they really deserved a better script. I never read the book but felt the adaptation seemed a little understated (unless the book was really that way?). I wanted a bit more in the climatic scenes. Still good overall and worth checking out.
