Apparently the music scene in the wedding was inspired by a FUNERAL Richard Curtis went to, and The Gorgeous is a v big Brazilian star, and was cast because 'no one would fantasise about an Englishman for 2 years' ^_^;;.

One of Hugh Grant's cabinet members look uncannily like Clare Short. - And on the subject of uncanny resemblances Hugh Grant does a pretty good George W. Bush face when he was looking at the Christmas cards...... - I want a dad like Liam Neeson in the film !!! He swears freely, pays his kids to lie.

An interesting point which I never knew: apparently when they shoot scenes they shoot a versin for the TV version in which there would be no swearing. Like, 'let's get drunk and watch porn' becomes 'let's have a drink and watch telly' (oh dear....).

Maybe it was the fact that I went to see it at midnight in the snow with a lovely boy who liked holding my hand, but I thought this movie was phenomenal.

I really didn't like it at all.
Seemed messy, and beyond.

The first star comes from the very first part of the movie: the introduction in the airport, then Bill Nighy saying "fuck wank bugger shitting ass head in the hole."

The second is for the overall filming.
Not the editing.
Just the filming.

[edit]The third is because I've learned to like it.[/edit]

I love this movie so very much!!!

It shows every possible type of love there can be. When Hugh Grant pipes in at the very beginning of the movie, I always tear up...

Love Actually *IS* all around.

This movie is syrupy sweet and darling for a first date or valentine's day or whatever. That being said I was a complete sucker for it. It showed love in different capacities and how you can find it in the most unexpected places.

I also enjoy plots with an ensemble cast where it's not revealed until the end how all the characters are connected to one another. Billy Bob Thornton SHOULD be the US President!

This movie was amazing! There are new twists and turns with every part of the movie and it suprises you everytime. If you like romantic comedies or are a sucker for love stories, this movie is perfect. With an all-star cast including Kiera Knightly, Hugh Grant, and Liam Neeson you can't go wrong with this movie. I honestly think that anyone and everyone can relate to this movie in some way.
