Unfortunately I didn't like this movie at all =[ I admit, it is an interesting idea... but I didn't feel anything for the characters. I was too apathetic towards their relationship / motivations.
But maybe that was only because I was at the tail-end of a movie marathon, and was very tired?
I resolve to give this movie a second chance on a later date.

i gained much more respect for jims acting abilities after watching this movie. him and kate winslut work together very well. the overall idea expressed in the movie is interesting, even if i dont necessarily believe it. i dont believe in all that "im looking for the one" horse shit.
well written, well played. 4/5.

Fantastic look at how humans are doomed to repeat behaviors, and burying your head in the sand never makes true problems go away.  SEcond best Jim carey film, imo, second only to truman show.

Michael Gondry is a legend of his time.
From directing influential Chemical Brothers videos, to directing such great films as this, and Be Kind, Rewind
All I gotta say is the man is amazing at what he does, and he's one of my favourite directors of all time.

A beautiful movie! Everyone who has ever had a broken heart has thought... I wish I could erase them!!! F*%#!! After seeing this you realize everyone comes in to your life for a reason... 2 Incredible actors... and they were both fabulous!

So happy with this movie. Seeing Jim Carrey in a different role was very refreshing. I also love Kate Winslet. The whole concept of the movie was amazing to me, just because it was so far off from most other movies. Loved it.

I love this movie... its great! It actually gets you to think about life, relationships, love and all the kind of stuff. However if I'm not in the right mood to watch it, it feels like an extremely long movie!

Cute concept, decent acting, kind of dragged on though.

For what it was, it was well done, however for me, it was too much thinking for a movie. I prefer to have my brain killed slowly with movies, otherwise I'd have picked up a book, but it remains an average film, until the weight of Kirsten Dunst and her lack of acting ability manage to mar what might have otherwise been a film I'd watch again.
Was alright, but not my sort of film, and casting wasn't brilliant.

i think this is my favorite movie of all time.
i guess every one of us can see ourselves doing what joel and clementine did. i know i can.
this movie was incredibly touching and insightful. plus an amazing soundtrack.

I don't think I could ever watch this movie too many times. It is beautiful and poetic in a way that is sometimes hard to see in the "real world". It is weird, but only in good ways. It always leaves me thinking. Go see it, twice.

I was actually very surprised at how good this movie was, and how well Jim Carrey pulled it off.
Great job to the cast and crew, with a special mention on the writing and directing.

This movie wouldn't be what it is without Gondry directing and Kaufman writing the script.
When i first saw it i was holding back the ocean of tears in the theater!! So emotional when you can relate to what the couple goes through in the movie. Plus i reallyyyy loved the characters played by Carey and Kate.

The best movie I've seen...complexity and all. You have to watch the movie more than a few times just to catch all of the little things occurring in the film. Not only that, the storyline is something beautiful. Hope where was none. I could watch this movie a million times over and still not be sick of it.

This movie is pure genius, a love story liek no other, with a mind which appears to be falling apart tragically, as bit by bit he becomes able to put teh past behind i nconjuction with a beautiful future.
i felt strongly with this movie finding myself becoming synchonized with jim careys character in response to eh world surrounding him as i rretracted into my own mind inreflect to my life fromteh movie.
all aspects of the movie are respectable and well produced.

The man doesn't use any CG whatsoever in everything he makes; pure camera skills and magic. I have quite a few of his music videos on my youtube.
^^I wish he had of paid more attention to the storyline, instead of the visual effects... because now I wish I could erase him from my mind. U_U

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is one of my all time favourite movies. It is brilliantly written by Charlie Kaufman, well acted, and a fine specimen of absurd dark humour that balances nicely with the touching moments of this film. The story unfolds in a non-linear format, which gives a sense of disorientation mirroring that which the characters feel, this is further enhanced by the production design and cinematography. The tale is often complex but never loses sight of key plot points and overall themes. There is no aspect of this movie that does not amaze me.
