it was good, except for the fact that there are so many things wrong with the Buffalo setting! therefore they screwed up, and Jim Carrey never stepped foot in Buffalo!

Big disapointment. I love Jim Carrey and his films. But it didn't live up to what it seemed like it was gonna be.

It was ok to watch...but wasn't very funny considering it was a comedy.

Jim Carrey has lost his edge.
What happened to the crazy, spontaneous Jim that I remember from "In Living Color"?! He sold out, that's what. I wish I could give a "0 Star" rating, because this movie blew ass. It gets a "1 star" rating instead, but only because I can't go any lower.

This movie had me laughing out loud. Bruce did everything any of us would do if we were suddenly endowed with divine powers. Jim Carey is a comic genius and I've loved practically everything he's done. Him and Morgan Freeman (as God) were both perfectly cast for this movie. I loved this movie and would recommend it to anybody.

I was on the fence with this movie.

it had it's moments, but jim carey is losing it with me as every character he plays (save Eternal Sunshine, and i'm sure a couple others) are exactly the same.

Okay, if you didn't like this movie.....are you CRAZY. Jim Carrey is one of the most f*cking halarious actors out there. The sex scene in this movie should be what most sexual encounter are in real life. I wish that I could go into the bathroom before sex and end up cuming out of the bathroom like some "wild an-i-mal" with my hair all ......::wink:: you know what I'm talking about....booyah
Two incredible thumbs up!!!! Great family fun!!! And that's how the cookie crumbles!!!!!

this is one of my favourite movies ever! the special effects are so good and hilarious. Gives you a visual sense of what being God would feel like....and Jim Carey's performance is amazing! Definityely worth seeing both for laughs and morality.

This movie was so fucking funny. Jim Carrey was the best actor for this movie. He went completey out of the box and made it amazing.

Bruce Nolan is a local Eyewitness News TV reporter in Buffalo, New York, best known for doing human interest stories--which makes everyone happy but him. Bruce would much rather be replacing the soon-to-retire anchorman. Essentially, Bruce is disconnected with everything in his life and rarely misses an opportunity to complain about it. He has a loving girlfriend, Grace, who runs a day care center and adores Bruce in spite of his negativity. Bruce is handed a great opportunity when he's asked to do the 23rd anniversary of Niagra Falls' famed Maid of the Mist boat, which will air live during sweeps. But the mist hits the fan when it's announced on-air--just before Bruce goes live--that the co-anchor position, about to be vacated, is going to Bruce's superficial rival. In front of millions of viewers, Bruce has an on-camera meltdown, punctuated by a four-letter word not yet cleared for network television. On this worst day of Bruce's life, he's fired from the station, beaten up by a gang of toughs, and his car is vandalized. Furious, Bruce rails and rages against the Lord for his rotten luck--which is followed by a curious set of signs, one of which leads him to an old building called Omni Presents, Inc. There, Bruce meets a janitor who reveals himself to be who he really is--God! He's heard Bruce's complaints and now has an offer for the choleric newscaster--his job. By endowing Bruce with all his powers, God challenges him to take on the job and see if he can do any better!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie...its the best ever!!

Theres so many great quotes from this movie.

"God is a mean kid sitting on an anthill with a magnifying glass, and I'm the ant. He could fix my life in five minutes if He wanted to, but he'd rather burn off my feelers and watch me squirm." - Bruce

"B-E-A-utiful" - Bruce

"Is it my hair, Bill? Are my teeth not white enough? Or, like the great falls, is the bedrock of my life, eroding beneath me? Eroding, eeeeroding, eeeeerodding" - Bruce

"I'm Bruce Nolan for Eyewitness News. Back to you, fuckers!" - Bruce

"The gloves are off, God.", "God has taken my bird and my bush.", "God is a mean kid with a magnifying glass.", "Smite me, O Mighty Smiter." - God reading what Bruce said

"Bingo! Yahtzee! Is that your final answer? Our survey says... God! Bing bing bing bing bing! Well God, nice job on the Grand Canyon, and good luck with the Apocalypse. Oh, and by the way: you SUCK!" - Bruce

"Hey, little anal-dwelling butt monkey. Time for you to go home, little buddy." - Bruce

"Bruce giveth and Bruce taketh away. Don't like it? Megabyte me." - Bruce

"It's good. It's goooooood!" - Bruce

"And I'm Evan Baxter and here's what's making news. A potential scandal with the Buffalo P.D. surfaced today when the mayor d-bow debit. Bucka-bow, dee buck. Oh, there we go. Sorry about that. In other news the Prime Minister of Sweden visited Washington today and my tiny little nipples went to France. The White House reception committee greeted the Prime Ribroast Minister and... I do the cha-cha like a sissy girl. I lik-a do da cha-cha. I'm sorry we seem to be having some technical difficulties. In other news (breaks wind). Ohhhh. My apologies. Bulla blah, bulla blabity bulla bla. Blabity blab bulla blah. Kaa kaa poo poo. PEE PEE - Evan (you have to watch this part of the movie to know how funny it really is. I was on the floor laughing)

That's the way it was... and that's the way the cookie crumbles... and That's the way, uh huh, uh huh, I like it uh HUH uh HUH. (looking in mirror and doing a Walter Cronkite impression) - Bruce

"I saw it, and it was good!" - Bruce
