When I first rented this, about 6 months after it came out, I'd never heard of it. I knew it was supposed to be a vampire movie though, so I thought I'd give it a try. I remember sitting down and watching and watching this movie, finally about an hour in I actually took the tape out of the machine to make sure I had the right video because so far no vampires had shown up. By the ending though I was an absolute fan. Cheech Marin's part as 'greeter' was classic and hilarious! Sex Pistol was a riot as well. Selma Hyek was beautiful, as always, and young. The whole cast was well done now that I think about it. And to think this is a movie by the same guy as Pulp Fiction - and it's just as amazing in it's own way.

Was there anything really wrong with this movie?
NO!! It was awesome.
Not your traditional vampire movie...but that's what made it so original. Rodriguez is an amazing filmamker.

I saw it the first time, before I had developed a taste for these types of films.
However, the second time..... Loved it!!

As a fan of craptastic vampire movies i watch this all the time.
Fuck i even liked George Clooney in it and i despise that man.
You can never go wrong with Cheech Marin playing 3 different characters

Great fusion of crime-action and horror
Characters are perfect in their roles and once the blood starts it gets highly entertaining.
Not the best horror/cult flick but still a great movie.. with tons of homages, references, along with originality.

this movie is cool for what it is
it's not particularly groundbreaking or complex, but its still entertaining
its cheesy as hell, but i still enjoyed it

Rodriguez did wonders on a shoestring budget, his and Tarantino's writing is sharp as always, soundtrack is spot on, and they even managed to work in homages and QT's foot fetish!
It showcases family values alongside a dude named Sex Machine and blood-sucking strippers, really, what more could you ask for???

cheezy, but fuckin' awesome at the same time. i enjoyed the acting and story thuroughly, even though it's pretty rediculous and random. i'd give it 5 but i'm a stickler.

I would have given it a 5 star but the costumes and the dialouge could have been a little bit better. I gave it a 3 because it is a Tarantino flick. I would have also given it a 5 if it were writen and directed by John Waters.

this movie saw so WTF? its starts off about two criminals trying to get past the border and with NO MENTION OF VAMPIRES, all the sudden an hour into the movie it becomes about vampires....but its not unwatchable or anything.

It's an ok movie.
I didnt like the vampires in it, the way they did them up and all.
Tarantino is so fucked up in this movie, i love him.

Ok it's nothin special, a small group of people trapped in a bar fromm dusk till dawn with vampires. Starts slow, but ends with lots of bloody vampires. Probably only for vampire movie fans. Chessy and zany, but I had lots of fun.
