the fact that this movie was even mass produced fucking floors me. the only part i even found remotly funny was the naked wrestling, and that was just cuz the guy was so fat he didn't need to be blured or bared out, and the borat idiot was definitelty exagerated, and it wasn't even all that funny. but i suppose in comparison to the rest of the movie it was. the fact that people find everything else in that movie funny leads me to believe that comedy as we know it is taking a drastic leap off the deep end without a flotation device. this movie was a complete waste of my time and energy.

Seriously, this movie was dumb. They hyped it way too much. Ok, the concept was funny. That most people didn't know that they were in the movie and that he freaked them out was entertaining. Honestly, the only part that made me die laughing was when the kids came up to the ice cream truck and the bear roared at them and they ran away. That was the only hilarious part! Other than that, stupid waste of time.

This was the best movie I've seen in a long time. I laughed my ass off, and I think the funniest part of it, was that most of it was actually showing the difference in our culture. Really and truly. LOVED it.

Funniest damned movie I have ever seen!
We laughed so hard, we had to pause it sometimes to catch our breath. Anyone that says the humor is offensive is a douche bag. Of course it's offensive, idiot. That's the whole point of the character and the movie.
And just so you know, Sacha Baron Cohen (the guy who played Borat) is Jewish.

I enjoyed this movie because it exploited the idiocy of others.
Some parts of the movie were contrived; others were not.
It must have been hellish for them to get people to sign consent forms for the movie. It is probably the biggest expense of the movie.
Movies like this are genious because they are low budget and rake in a lot of cash for the producers...

The first time, it was freaking hilarious! I'm a big fan of Sacha Cohen, I do prefer some of his other characters though.
Second time wasn't nearly as good as the first. It gets really predictable after the first time, but ah well. Not as funny because it's not as shocking after seeing it the first time.
I loved the nude fighting scene!

Anybody with a brain to appreciate the true brilliance of the movie would know that it was nothing short of genious.
But unfortunatly society has become pleased by nothing but slapstick comedy to please their simple minds.
I bet atleast 90% of people that did not laugh out loud while watching this film, didn't understand the true comedy that it was trying to portray. Sure it has it's slapstick, stupid comedy to try and please the simple hilarity in our brains...but there was much more to it.

I don't care how much you might like penis, you are going to cringe when you watch this! Luckily I was laughing hard while doing so. Sacha Baron Cohen's character is so wrong, SOOO wrong, yet you can't wait to see what he does next. Great way to spend an hour and 20 minutes but don't expect any insightful social commentary, I felt he took the cliches and just ran with those.

So i watched Borat last night to a large amount of disappointment.
it wasn't nearly as intelligent as i thought. there were some funny part i do admit but the social commentary wasn't anything new and the way they went about it wasn't anything new either.
you can watch the john stewart show and get a better social commentary in 3 mintues than borat was in the 2 hours.
this reminded me a lot of napoleon dynamite. quite disappointed in that.... maybe it thats red necks just piss me off and i don't want to watch a movie about them.
altho the bear thing was great.

I *some* parts were funny. I am/was a huge borat fan when little people watched Ali G show or even saw the stand up before the show.
This was pretty gay for the fact that I would have rathered watching several episodes of the show.
The story was stupid... they tried way to hard to milk all the things people found funny to begin with.
When I saw the ad I said 'NOOOOOOOOOOOO'
everything I like has to go mainstream so every collage kid from here to toledo is quoting the movie 10-20 times a day and makes it suck for everyone else whos cool.
