amazing movie... an inside view on the underbelly of the "romantic" French (never could figure out where that idea came from) and their glorious mysogyny.
Certain scenes make you cringe and others make you smile, as this is a story of a beautiful friendship built on tragic premises.
This quote sums it up "-...but how could you? - it's okay, we're still alive aren't we? they could have done so much worse."
To top it off, it's chickas who were porn stars, in the really horrid days of porn, who wrote the story and made the movie. They've obviously got enough tough emotions in their gut to write a dark and brutal, but REAL movie.
This reminds me of the movie made after all those women got burned alive for saying no in the French "cité"...

this is a good movie. those girls are real porn stars in france.
another AMAZING french film that is beyond intense is "Irreversible"... really really good film.

great movie.
like most french films on the nihilist streak, it's dark.
it's violent. it's got gratuitous violent sexual imagery. it's got anger and vitriol.
it's great.
