Fucking hilarious, full of awesome one-liners. Sort of a dark/sarcastic humor, check it out!

I LOVED it.

the fact that the guy sells cigarettes is not a reason to dislike this movie.

And if that's your reason, you did'nt get the point of the movie (or even watch it till the end)

Great performances, and a good laugh.

A well acted, well written, well thought out movie with a social conscience. One of the best I've ever seen.

Interesting movie, funny in some parts, The thing that I found interesting was the movie was about smoking, yet there wasn't a single part in the movie where you actually see a person smoking. Ironic

Wow, a comedy that doesn't need gross-out humor to be funny! What a neat idea!

And for people with the philosophy of "Cigarettes are bad so this movie sucks" ....you're dumb, and the point of this movie went right over your empty little heads.

DAVEoftheRAVE

It isn't about smoking.

It is about the art of arguement.

This is said matter of factly a few times in the movie.

I thought this movie was fabulous! I saw it in the theatre and there were only 2 other people there...which is too bad. It's a great movie!

All i got to say is this movie was amazing!!!!!!I couldn't wait till this book became a movie.

Lolz..if you can sell tobacco...lolz..you can sell ne thingwink

My fave scene was when he went to his son's class to explain what he did for a living.....and basically told a bunch of 12 yearolds to try smokinglol

This movie gave a real/cynical look into what a lobbiest does.and in more ways than one, have shown the rest of its audiecne the truly ironic world of deception that the tobacco industries are tryign to cover over our eyes.

If you’re not familiar, Thank You for Smoking is about a tobacco lobbyist and spin master played by Aaron Eckhart supported by a stellar cast. I quite liked the tone of the film, narrated light-heartedly but full of satire, social commentary, media theory, and morally twisted humour. It’s got a good amount of hype but it’s not Hollywood slick and I think that appeals to people, it’s not the filthy stinking rich trying to buy popularity by making fun of themselves.

It’s an entertaining lesson about how to spin a story and convey a message, and has multiple layers to the spin in that 90% of the characters in the film are trying to spin things in their favour, but on top of that the narration is also partially subliminal in swaying and programming the audience. I was very amused by this, and there is a lot to be learned here. It is a highly intelligent piece of work. It made me want to go home and read some McLuhan or Rushkoff.
