amazing movie. it deals with so many taboo topics in a lot of way.
I especially love the beginning when they take acid in the cemetry and how realistically the surroundings change.

This movie is not your typical fairy tale but it has a heartwarming factor of a trip through a winding life. Definitely worth checking out for the character developed through this Micheal Moore book and acting. I was also a part of this movie via clothing, location, and extra work. Colin Farrel and Ryan Donowho are quite the charmers. wink

Really fantastic adaptation from the novel, which in itself is a rarity these days. One of those rare occasions where the movie is worth watching and won't disappoint the reader.

..and who doesn't fucking adore Sissy Spacek? I mean come on..

Although it was hardly a box office hit, A Home at the End of the World was on Ebert & Roper’s top ten movies of the year (for 2004 I believe) and rightly so. This is such a powerful intricate tale that starts with the story of one boy to the relationship of a redefined three parent household. The story is not about the characters’ sexual preferences as less intelligent viewers may think, but about the characters themselves and about life. It is a very powerful movie.

One particular image that stuck with me was the scene of the brother’s death, though not conventionally gruesome, I found it very disturbing. It shows us how suddenly life can be lost and how easily someone can slip away from you.
