Fantastic movie! One of my favourites for sure, one of Chow's better efforts. Highly recommended if you like kung fu movies or any sort of ridiculous movie. And who doesn't like ridiculous movies?

This movie is hillarious. It's like what Kung Pow looked like it would be in the previews, but failed miserably to deliver.

I love this movie.
1st time I watched it, I wasn't impressed.
2nd time and on.. all came together. Loved it. and now its one of my top 5.

The best two scenes of this movie, by far, were:
1) The "knife" scene when trying to assassinate the landlady.
2) When the axe gang boss lights his hair on fire for like 5 minutes.
Classic goodness.

Crazy visual effects.. I don't know the name of the style in which they were all done but it's like a so fake it's real kind of craziness.
Watch this movie!
Uhm... Kill Bill effects (blowing off of limbs and blood spraying ALL OVER) but to the EXTREME!

lots of fun to watch if you like unrealistic martial arts flicks. neat cinematography and decent story. i'm giving it a 4.

it had all your basic trappings of a Stephen Chow film, but yet it almost seemed like it didn't go far enough. To me Stephen Chow needs to be ridiculous, crude, and large than life... this came off to me as watered down compared to the bulk of his work from the early/mid 90's. Maybe it's a language barrier thing.

It was pretty funny and had some nice fight scenes. Shaolin soccer was better in every way.

The dialog in this movie was so bad it was hillarious. It had ridiculous scripting, but the fight scenes would begin and just be absolutely jaw dropping. The music coincided extremely well with scenes, and the playfulness in between just made it an all around great movie!
