I can manage to choke down a half dozen of these things before I have to put the bag away. I guess that's good if I'm trying to watch how many nasty-ass chips I stick in my body but when I've got the munchies I want to go hard on a bag. Cool Ranch or Black Pepper Jack is where it's at

I absolutely thought these chips were disgusting. I love chili and I love Doritos. Mixing both items in a blender and dumping it in a bag wasn't a great experience for me. Sorry.

I love the flavour of these chips, a delightful combination of sweet and salty not tasted since the invention of kettle corn!
There is 'heat' in these chips, though I still don't find them very spicy despite what other reviews have said. In a way this is good because when I pick up a savoury snack, I don't really want to have my tongue burnt off.

The sweetness reminds me a lot of their Bold BBQ chips, which were good but got boring quickly.
The hotness of these chips reminds me a lot of hot n spicy Thai soup! It's the same kind of sweet hotness.
Overall a pretty satisfying chip.

It's rare that a chip can come along and really defy all expectations. However, Doritos has surprised me, and changed chip eating forever.
After the tricky rejig of their trademark cool ranch into the new guacamole flavouring, and the debacle known as ketchup flavour, I was beginning to think that Doritos had finally run out of good ideas. And them, I tried Sweet Chili Heat.
Sweet Chili Heat is a surprising chip. For one, it actually can get hot if you catch it on a bad day. Most chips that make any claim to "heat" come up sorely lacking. A weak mesquite or a tawdry tabasco flavouring are the closest that most average chips ever get to being even remotely hot. And, to be quite frank, simulated mesquite and tabasco chips are about as hot as Bea Arthur in a bikini.
And so it was with wide-eyed surprise that after a few handfuls of these delightful new Doritos, I found myself reaching for the water glass like a bandito riding for the Rio Grande. But don't be fooled into thinking that it's only heat that they have to offer; it's the sweetness.
There's a complex sweet flavouring to these chips that I've never experienced in a corn based snack item before. Not only does it add a maternal warmth to these scorchers, it humanizes them in a way that makes me want to show them the sweetest kind of love: eating love. The ground essence of chilis mixed with the sharpness of bell peppers and a healthy mix of southwest spices makes these chips an epicurean masterpiece for the palette. Their acrid initial bite is followed by a deep and lustrous middle that eased me into their long, rich finish, only leaving me as the faintest hints of agave honey lingered on my tastebuds.
The memory of that taste left me wanting nothing but more chips, and, to this day, I find myself chasing that sweet chili dragon every chance I get. If a corn chip could be magic, then Sweet Chili Heat Doritos would be both the rabbit, and the hat.
