delicious beer, real heavy, flavourful.....designed for those afternoons at the BBQ.....NOT designed to get drunk on, as after having 2-3 you feel like you've eaten a large meal...

Part of the Innis & Gunn gift pack. Served in the branded glassware it comes with. Also comes with Innis & Gunn Oak Aged IPA and Innis & Gunn Rum Cask.

Deep honey orange body with a massive pile of off-white foam resting upon it. The head is very well retained and leaves gobs of lace as it recedes. It smells sweet and malty; aromas of toast, vanilla, honey, toffee, oak, and a kiss of alcohol mingle harmoniously to create a vague impression of whisky on the nose. It tastes buttery and lightly toasty with notes of vanilla, toffee, and wood. There's a mild alcoholic kick in the finish. Flavour is very round and balanced. Medium bodied and finely carbonated, this beer is exceptionally smooth and easy to drink.

The LCBO is a mean place for anything in a clear bottle. This is a damned fine beer if you can find it in good condition, but it's not too often you do. The boxed gift set is great at keeping light out, and worth purchasing if you want to try this in prime condition. If only they would ditch the clear bottle; it would make purchasing this less of a crapshoot.
