overrated hipster beer
better bang for your buck in terms of not making you sick than most low end bar fare, but it can't hold a candle to really good beer
Sunday August 17, 2008 - 6:14 PM
Maybe its just me, but I think Stella tastes a bit like "dirty foot smell".
I love beer, I just won't pay that high a price for a mediocre tasting brew.
If I'm going to spend the extra cash on an import, it will definitely be Guinness or Hoegaarden. Mmm.
Saturday August 16, 2008 - 2:21 PM
Stella is good, yes.

Friday August 15, 2008 - 2:11 PM
Wow maybe I shouldn't have read all the the other comments first, A-Labatts does not own Stella, B-It does not contain Corn, C-It is actually one of the more expensive brews available.
Stella is my favourite light beer, I've been a bit of a beer nut since I was young, its refreshing, clean tasting, consistent (no Co. is perfect), and is not inducive to causing really nasty hangovers. Try drinking a gallon of say Canadian or Blue, then drink a gallon of Stella (on another day obviously)
eat the same foods, get the same sleep and see which beer leaves you feeling better in the morning.
Alcohol is not necessarily the cause of hangovers there are 112 ingredients in most dom. beers, you only NEED 4 or 5...
most of the other ingredients are stabilizer, carbonates, preservitives etc. nasty stuff.....Creemore used to be my fav. beer until Molson massacred it. Unpasteurized the only way to go.

Saturday May 17, 2008 - 6:26 PM
Stella Artois is the Budweiser of Europe but for some reason it is treated like a luxury beer of some sort here in north america it is very light on flavor and body nothing very special yet expensive there are dozens of better imports to pick from id say Hoegaarden is a much better choice
Thursday February 14, 2008 - 11:53 PM

I had a very good night in Hamilton with that at Weitom's birthday party.

Thursday February 14, 2008 - 4:09 AM
Stella is awesome. They call it Wife Beater in the UK... obvious reasons. I love the shit.
Wednesday February 13, 2008 - 4:02 PM
To TESSERACT: I'm looking at the stamp on my can of stella right now. it says: Brewed by: S.A. INTERBREW BELBIUM N.V. B-1070 BRUSSELS.
now if you want to talk about how so much of our food and drink comes into contact, is packaged, or cooked in/on aluminum
(a known neurotoxin), well that's a different story.
Wednesday February 13, 2008 - 11:22 AM
This one, should be stayed away from.
It's labeled as import/premium. It is NEITHER. It is currently brewed under agreement and license, by Labatt - a company notorious for taking something good, and ruining it. InBev, Labatt's parent company (who also owns Stella in Netherlands) should be ashamed that one of their best is made like crap in Canada.
Add in the fact that Labatt's fucked up and released a few tainted batchs and a few display bottles filled with pure ethyl alcohol, and you have a disaster in every glass.
Sunday December 09, 2007 - 7:04 PM
im not much of a beer drinker, but i live in canada, so i have tried dozens of different beers.
i like stella, it's one of the beers i tend to order when i go out. it has a light satisfying taste with not much aftertaste and not very skunky unlike most beers that are bottled in green glass.
i dont know much about beer, but from what ive heard belgium has waaaaay better beers than stella, but for what it's worth, i think it's pretty damn good. so four stars it is.
Wednesday November 28, 2007 - 12:20 AM
It has corn in it. Even bud doesnt have corn in it.

They sell this overseas cause its not good enuff for them to sell at home
Tuesday November 27, 2007 - 6:48 PM
Gotta love Stella! Gotta love Belgian beers!
And as my Belgian roommate taught me: Mijn thuis is waar mijn Stella staat!!!
(something like 'my home is where my stella is')
Saturday December 09, 2006 - 12:50 PM
Saturday December 09, 2006 - 11:46 AM

Stella is ONE of the TWO beers I can actually drink.
Saturday December 09, 2006 - 10:19 AM
For tha Price its at its worth it....Fuckin Quality Brew Mon...
And also Fancy.!... =)...
Saturday November 04, 2006 - 7:41 PM
This beer has a very welcoming smooth taste coming from a bottle. I don't much prefer this beer in a can - as sold in the Tall Boys. Smaller bottle than most, and a bit more expensive being an import.
However, The flavour, aroma, weight and after taste of this beer is enough to get it a 5 star rating.
Monday October 30, 2006 - 12:01 PM
Best beer ever!
How could someone not like this beer?
As the ad campaigns say: 'Perfection has its price.'
Monday October 30, 2006 - 11:35 AM
Five stars all the way!
The only beer that doesnt leave you with massive heart burn.
And 0 hang over the next day!
Oh lady Stella How i love you!

Tuesday October 24, 2006 - 3:00 PM
Hott boys drink Stella, Corona, occasionally MGD or Heinikin...
Tuesday October 24, 2006 - 2:55 PM

Tuesday October 24, 2006 - 2:34 PM
A delicious nectar of the gods
Whoever said it's not as good as Corona is smoking some serious rocks
I give it five stars, because I'm biased and European. Its not better than Heineken in my book, but its pretty damn close
Tuesday October 24, 2006 - 2:21 PM

Tuesday October 24, 2006 - 12:25 PM
For a long time where I'm currently going to school, there was no distributors license to carry stella here.
About 7 or 8 months ago, they finally got distribution here - and I'm happy.
Definitely one of the better pilsner style brews around, and always a solid fall back choice if you are unfamiliar with an establishment's beer list.
Tuesday October 24, 2006 - 12:07 PM
Has a sweet taste to it, rich and flavourful.
Not as good as corona though!
Tuesday October 24, 2006 - 11:55 AM
