The book was good, so were all her books. I noticed a very disheartening thing though: her books follow the same plot pattern.... Harry goes through something, Harry overcomes it, Harry loses something, Harry gets over it, Harry gets hurt emotionally, physically.... Harry fights Voldemort.
It kinda got boring. I'm glad she ended the series the way she did. Now I can no longer speculate on what happened after Harry defeated Voldemort.

ok ok
so it WAS a good book.
ill give it that.
but all those fucking loopholes
of how harry could "come back from the dead"
i dunno
i was alittle disappointed in the ending
only b/c she used the ever famous ___years later shtick.
that was what pissed me off the most.

butt still an allright book
good full of nice back story
finished it in 2days cus i really couldnt put it down
liked all the deaths, but i still think tht some of the main characters should have died, ron hermione, even draco!

really liked when snape died and harry got all his thoughts tht cleared up some shyte, and i really wanted to believe tht snape was good
as shitty as he always acted.

very bi polar on this review smile

The most epic book of them all.

Even better than the 4th, and that one was pretty bomb.

i loved this book, sad the series is over though

i didn't like the end though, that was such a cheap way of harry getting out of him having to die to kill voldemort

and the end was bad, i think she just added that so she didn't have people throwing rocks at her house telling her to write more of them

can't wait for the movie

and the theme park of the hp world

absolutly loved it. didnt like the epilogue. was vague in my opinion. could of done better with it, but other than that it was purely spectacular

The end could've been longer.. but I guess it could've been 35 novels and I wouldn't be satisfied.. so YAY! I am re-reading the series now.

wow. abso-fucking-lutely amazing.
i read the majority of it on the airplane to ireland, i didnt even notice when we landed i was that sucked in.

i too, didnt really like the epilogue at the end. it was weird. not really her style or something. like it was added in as an after thought.

either way, the ending was crazy. i loved it.

I thought this book was awesome, i ended up reading it in 2 days. i gave it a 4 because i thought it was really dull at the beginning, i mean yeah there were "exciting" parts but really after a while it got repetitive. HOWEVER my opinion completely changed when you actually learned about the Hallows, and everything started to pick up.

I agree the twist about Snape was one that i wasn't expecting, and i also agree that the epilogue was pretty lame.

All in all i think it was a great book, and a good ending to the series, however i am a bit sad that i don't have another book to look forward to.

ps. did anyone wonder how Nevile got the gryph. sword in the end to kill the snake..that kinda confused me..

Somehow I just knew it would all turn out ok. I mean - it's a kids book, so Jk couldn't really kill off a child's hero, it just makes sense. Even so, I wanted to believe Harry would win in the end because I've been reading these books for 7 freaking years and anything less than victory on his part would have been lame. The prologue was adequate, but I think it might have been a bit better. I don't really blame the author though, from what I've read she wants to quit the Harry Potter books and focus on her own life and kids, so a boring ending was pretty much the best way to ensure the readers weren't left hanging and waiting for another book. I liked the twists and turns of the story, but for some reason when you get to this book it seems to lack a certain continuity with the rest of them - like she's still expaining things when the time for explanations is well over.

I loved the part with Snape - he was such an easily hated character so for him to be a good guy in the end was a big suprise; at least it was at first, looking back it sorta makes sense considering how much time was spent on the Harry/Snape stuff. JK Rowling is really a great author.

I liked it, and I guess I'll be waiting for any follow up books that might come out in the future.

An incredible close to the series.

I have to say, up until last week sometime I had been avoiding the series like the plague--and as of two minutes ago, I have gone through the whole thing. The twists regarding Snape were amazing, easily the most intense book in the series.

The epilogue, however, was lame as hell.

I think everything was wrapped up nicely smile

I give 4 stars cuz I'm unsure how I felt about the ending, I'll have to read it again.

Loved all the twists about snape etc it was a wicked book but a bit of a cheesy ending I reckon.

I give it 10 stars!!!
Very Very fucking good!!!! Couldn't put it down.
I disagree with having any followup books. It just wouldn't work. Think of all the things Harry has been through, really, what else can be done without shit getting redone really.
It's great the way it ended. We were left expecting nothing more!!!

there arent words that could actualy sum up how truly amazing this book was. (and at any point im NOT refering the the epilogue) after finishing the book everything and by that i mean like the entire seven books made so much more sence...understanding why everything happend and ect. it was spectacular.
loved every page minus the obviouse.
reading it again now as we speak.
*love*

I think it was an awesome book. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. I started reading it at 8:00pm and finished at 2:30am... I love how Ginny and Harry get married in the end, ditto with Hermonie and Ron, it kinda figures though to be honest. Hopefully J.K. Rowling decides to write books about each of their lives, it would make a great follow-up.

I have always loved the books. It was a great ending although it left some unanswered questions for me. Yes..I admit I cried alot and put the book down alot of times just to grieve alittle for the characters. I would have to say that she could have made it longer just to put more story lines in it to give us more of a what happened later in life thing. I believe that most, if not all, of the fans would have loved a book five times as big. All in all...the best book ever.

great book.

I think it shoulda been longer as it's the last book in the series and it wouldn't have felt so rushed. There was a lot goin on in this book. I think another chapter or two woulda worked.

I was amazed at the shear amount of information she could fit into 600 pages. I love how she brought back every character and even had time to create new ones and add complicted plot twist. She surely is a genious.

I also couldn't get over the darkness of the book. I was down right frightened at parts and pleasently creeped out at others. I balled my eyes out of a large chunk of the end but wouldn't stop to get a tiisue so I had snot and tears running down my face. I remember blinking my eyes to squeeze out the tears so I could keep reading.

I'm happy with the way she ended it. And I'm glad for the epilogue but I agree that there was just something about the way she wrote that feels odd. But man, I'm going to read it again for sure once I get doen the 5th and 6th books again. Information overload!!

I read it all in one sitting and got a migraine. I cried because it was just so good. I didn't really care too much for the way the epilogue was written (I can't really put my finger on why), but I appreciated everything getting tied together in the end.

I got it on Saturday morning and finished it on Wednesday.

I didnt like the last two books but going through them was worth it to be able to understand this book. I couldnt put it down, it was epic.

This book was enthralling. I actually found myself hearing the characters voices in my head, hating them, loving them, being a part of the action.

It was a little bit off at times, some pretty big jumps in time linie that I don't think needed to be there.

And such an expected, but completely unexpected ending to the series.

Fantastic. I'm sad to see the books at an end.

Just to put into perspective how good this book was: I got it at 10am on the nose Saturday morning (that's when the store opened where I had it reserved). I took it home, and started reading. Finished it at 5am today. And that's with taking care of 3 kids and taking a nap and making dinner and stuff. I absolutely could not put it down. Such a fitting and wonderful end to the Harry Potter saga. I'll definitely be re-reading the whole series again, just because I'm that happy with it. I don't want to spoil anything though. So, just read it!!! happy

.starscream.

I got it, finished it.

I thought it was great. It was packed with action, and seemingly less of an angsty harry.

I found the epilogue to be confusingy written though. too many new names, no explination who belongs to who etc etc
