I read the book, interesting and could sort of compare it to my life without the homosexuality, no offense.

Everyone compares this book to David Sedaris' work; in my opinion, this book doesn't even come close to the standard that Sedaris sets. I nearly put the book down a few times, only forcing myself to read it because I hate not finishing books.
If you like Sedaris, read his work, not Burroughs'.

This book is absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed the whole thing;how is portrayed his kooky life that he lived. He explains everything with such vivid detail. How can one not see the very unpictured lifestyle he was explaining.
For example; when he was approaching the Finches house and pictureing this dream of a home.only to be so very dissapointed yo find a krickety old lop sidded home. The christmas tree in the living room explains the lack of upkeep to this house. I was unable to put this one day for a second.
I highly recommend to move right along and raed this sequel... the rest of his not so likely life...Dry.
