I'm not really a Dan Brown fan or whatever his name is...he tries to hard to turn theory into fact, in my opinion. Or better yet, tells you theory IS fact. Bleh. Aside from that its an interesting book. Not bad per say. Just not my favorite

AMAZING!
Better than the DiVinci Code, but just as hard to put down. I was reading it while they were electing a new pope. Eerie time to read it.

Deffinitely one of those books you can't put down for long.
Quite accurate for the locations of different statues, etc. across Rome. It offers an intriguing perspective on the meanings of some of the statues. And it really darkens a lot of the Cathedrals in Rome, when you think about what they used to be.
An excellent read.

I adored this book. I actually had the pleasure of reading it before the DaVinci code and I am so glad I did. I enjoyed this one so much more, I read it straight through, didnt even put it down once! I thought this one was more complicated, thus grabbing my interest even more. I would recommend this book to anyone!

What an amazing read this was. Probably the best page-turner I've read. Waaaaaaay better than Davinci Code, imo. I read this before I read Davinci and I'm so glad I did. Davinci just didn't do for me what it did for so many others. Angels and Demons had me on the edge of my seat for almost the entire book. Amazingly well told, with characters so well played you can picture every move. Dan Brown takes you an intense rollercoaster of a journey and finishes with a major bang. I actually learned quite a few things about the Vatican too from this book. I really enjoyed it.

A very good book. Much better than The Davinci Code. I think this one should have gotten more exposure. And yes, the writing style is very similar to The Davinci Code, but what do you expect? They're by the same author, same subject, same main character... of course they're going to be similar.
Wednesday December 06, 2006 - 1:45 PM
anyone notice how this and the da vinci code follow the EXACT SAME FORMULA?
and by the way, it isn't a novel - it's a premenopausal masturbatory aid.
Wednesday December 06, 2006 - 11:06 AM
Holy shit that was a sweet book. I would actually stay up all night because i wanted to find out what happened in the next chapter. Well written, I like the cliffhangers the author always leaves you with. I recommmend this to anyone.
Tuesday December 05, 2006 - 3:14 PM

i enjoyed the storyline of both this and davinci code

One of the most suspenseful books i've ever read. I recommend this to anyone, regardless of wether you're a regular reader or not. Plenty of my friends have finished it in one night! I read it twice! heheh

after reading all 4 of his books this one is the best one of them all and langden he has to be related to superman for surviving all of his adventures lol
Thursday November 16, 2006 - 2:52 AM
One of the most intense books ive read in a long time...by far the best out of the three...this and deception point had me stuck in the book...
Thursday November 16, 2006 - 1:55 AM
I found it to be a quite enjoyable read that kept me entertained for a day, and in the end, that's all I really care about.
Dan Brown's plodding writing style, the similarities between this and his other novels, which almost reminds me of Breeze and Styles' last hundred tracks, the predictable plot twists, none of it particularly matters, as long as you enjoy it in the end. Which I did.
And FYI, this book takes place BEFORE The Da Vinci Code. I notice a lot of people in their reviews seem to think that it's the other way around.
Thursday November 16, 2006 - 12:21 AM
Thought it was fantastic, ruined Da Vinci code for me though.
Wednesday November 15, 2006 - 7:45 PM

keeps you on your toes
Wednesday November 15, 2006 - 6:48 PM
HOLY SHIT (I DON'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT) BUT THAT BOOK WAS FUCKIN AMAZING...MUCH BETTER THEN THE SECOND ONE...BY FAR. IT TOOK ME 4 DAYS TO READ ON AND OFF BUT IT WAS SUCH A TWIST WITH A KICK IN THE ASS THAT I WAS ACTUALLY DUMB-FOUNDED...
Thursday November 09, 2006 - 9:39 AM
Much better than The Da Vinci Code. This book is actually slightly entertaining. Brown's writing is somewhat flacid, but he's not so inept that it ruins the story. A great book to read if you find in the bargain pile with every Dean Koontz book ever written. Other than that, it's barely worth picking up.
Thursday November 02, 2006 - 3:42 PM
Same shit different author. Trying to make money off of old ideas by smacking them together into a new book. nice.
Staggering.
Thursday November 02, 2006 - 3:42 PM
I Love This Book.
10/10.
Most Intellectual, Impressive Book I've Read So Far.
Everything came together so well,
Everything Made Sense.
The Twist in the end was wicked.
It was just an awesome book.
Done.

Great work of fiction.... remember folks, thats the section you picked it up in. not 'non-fiction.'
Tuesday October 24, 2006 - 10:17 AM
I liked it. It kept me reading, in suspense.
Thursday October 19, 2006 - 1:02 PM
I didn't like either the Da Vinci or this book. Both were trying so hard to be clever it just knocked you over the head with it at every turn. An entertaining read if you like the everything you know is wrong type of book but not my cup of tea.
Thursday October 19, 2006 - 10:40 AM
Written better and more internally consistent than The Da Vinci Code, but still only really worth 3 stars in terms of writing form and ability to convey the story. The book has quite a good concept driving it but Brown's writing is not really up to the level of complexity he's trying to convey.
Still, it's entertaining and an enjoyable way to spend a rainy afternoon. I passingly recommend it if you've got some spare time and nothing better around, and highly recommend it if you liked The Da Vinci Code, as I felt this was much more cohesive.
Tuesday October 17, 2006 - 12:38 PM
mediocre at best
it followed the exact same formula as the da vinci code which made it a bit boring and predictable for me
don't read one after the other or you will realize that they are both very similar
Saturday October 14, 2006 - 10:12 AM
So much better than the Davinci Code...Had me a the first page...i read the illustrated version, and have been some of the places in the book and its sequel....so that makes it even more cool...I suggest, if you ever have the chance, to visit these places...they are like no other on earth. I promise.
Saturday October 14, 2006 - 9:27 AM
awesome book, was reading it when the pope died, really make it hit home, loved seeing the ambiagrams, Dan Brown really knows how to capture his audience & keep them there until the end
Monday October 02, 2006 - 4:13 PM
The story is good and has a lot of connections that are consistent throughout, with supported historical accuracy in descriptions and artifacts. The writing itself is better than The DaVinci Code, but unfortunately is still only mediocre at best.
Once again I am mostly unimpressed with his linguistic poetry and skills in conveying the story, though the story itself is well-conceived.
I recommend this book if you are a big fan of The DaVinci Code. If not, then you will find no real interest in spending your time with this comparitively long novel.

Okay. So I just finished reading Angels and Demons. First off, I absoluntley love how Bernini was able to connect everything so perfectly. And how everything flowed simutaniously into each other.
It was obvious that Langdon and Vetra were going to end up together. But I liked that Brown waited more towards the end of the book to envolope there feelings for each other.
The fact this whole enitre book happened in a day makes my head hrt. And my eyes not want to peel away from the pages.
