i have to say that this is definitely up there when it comes to palahniuk's writings.
the ending is definitely much better than the movie ending, plus it reads so smoothly.
this man is a literary genius.

I thought this book to be extremely creative. Personally, I really wished I had read the book before seeing the movie as I couldn't for the life of me think of different looking characters then the celebrities who portrayed them on screen.

The nihilistic, socialist, male dream. A different ending then the film, which gives the story a tiny twist. If you're a fan of the movie, give Chuck a buck and check this book out.
p.s - Try to read a newer edition, where Palahnuik tells some tales from fans and strokes his ego alittle bit. Endearing.
I am Jack's Five out of Five stars.

Not going to write much, but I really must say, this book was awesome. I finished it about 30 seconds ago and it was amazing. His style, he says, was based on an attempt to write a short story with no boring downtime, but a slamming of one event into another to hold a reader's attention. The "Rules of Fight Club" are the only buffer between events, and act as a sort of comfort to the reader so that we don't feel completely lost while being thrown from one confusing situation to another. He succeeded totally, and it definitely goes in my top 20
