One of Chuck's best books.
It is sold as a collection of short stories, but isn't anything like Clive Barker's Books of Blood which is actually a collection of stories.
This is a wonderful Collection of Short stories about each Character and explains all about them and how they each got to where they are. Guts is one story that everyone who's read it will keep it in the back of their head to haunt them for days to come
It's a great novel that keeps you wanting to flip each page as soon as possible, as long as you have the Guts for it.
I liked the way he presented this novel, it was unlike a lot of his work and truly one of his originals.

Haunted... I have been debating my feelings about it for sometime. I enjoyed the book, found it strange and humours at times. However I wasn't thrilled with the ending.
I agree with the previous statements. The short stories where excellent but the "novel" aspect of it was lacking in ways I just can't put my finger on.
Definitely not my favourite Palahniuk.
He has a new book coming out in May? called "Rant". I am hoping it will make up for what Haunted was missing.

I honestly stopped reading the middle story and continuted on reading the short stories that were wonderful in that Chuck P. sort of way, but after a while I re-read the book and the social statements it makes about people and their desperate and sick need to play victim is dead on, even if it's a bit exagerated. But as I said, I finally went back, and reread the entire book and it all ties together wonderfully at the end. If you're bored between the short stories, it just seems to me that you don't understand what Chuck's trying to say with them. Read it to the very end (seriously), and you'll get it.

I liked the short stories but I really didn't like how Palahniuk tied them together. The chapters in between the stories seemed like filler.
I think I would have liked the book more as a collections of short stories rather than a "novel"
and someone mentioned "Nightmare Box" that and "Guts" were by far the best stories. The author's notes at the end were really good too.
