Pretty Good. Not really religion, based on theories. Dan Brown writes really confusing at times, but it is a good story. Kept me reading to see what happens. Flips back and forth though multiple people though so your looking to see what happens next... basic tactic but good reading.

This book was OK but fairly simple and certainly not a literary masterpiece.

But if you're looking for a fun, fast paced story, this book is for you.

I'd recommend that CosmicGuardian actually read what he is reviewing before making yet another insipid comment. tongue

Sparks!

Shitty, shitty book. Seriously, I don't understand how people can be so obsessed with it. I mean, sure, it was an interesting plot - but the writing was so atrociously contrived that I could barely read it.

I have no problem with people reading books like this for fun. But it is not a good book. It just isn't. You can try and convince me all you like, but it won't work. There are so many better writers out there who deserve your money and readership - writers with original ideas and good writing styles.

The Da Vinci Code took me three hours to read, and it is three hours I will never get back. And next time I feel like reading a good murder mystery - I am going to find me some P.D. James or some Agatha Christie.

Dan Brown is a phenomenal author.. this book (da vinci code) and Angels & Demons... were literary masterpieces.. i read the davinci code in 28 hours.. literally having to force myself away from the story line just to simply eat.. and to converse with someone out of the story as to save my sanity and inter personal skills .. Angels and Demons was slightly more of an effort to get into but once you're riding the tidal wave of a plot .. theres not much else you can do but hang on and ride the story through... not usually my choice in subject of literature but the portrayal of the free masons and the illuminati is spectacular and anyone who doesnt read this book is a bloody fool...

I liked the Da Vinci Code, I also read Angel's & Demon's, Dan Brown is a great author he just has to learn how to separate fiction from real life events.

though admittedly a pageturner, dan browns works are the kind of books you buy at the checkout in a grocery store.
The writing is slightly juvenile, the whole story is a little farfetched, the characters are flat and cliched.
Hes a good storyteller but he's not a good writer. He either over-described or didnt elaborate at all.
He put so much effort into describing the car they were driving, the countryside rolling by,while the characters vague dialogue mystifies you.
The ending was just so dissapointing.
All that overly descriptive and unecessary text and the culminating moment really and truly does not explain or elaborate on any of the remotely interesting things in the book.

"oh and by the way, youre related to jesus.Yes i know, nothing thus far has indicated such but thats why its a pageturner. We fill your brain with facts and mysteries
to which you will never know the answer, and half the book was a gigantic waste of rainforest trees.
See you in the sequel where Jeffrey Dahmer is moses incarnate."
Booooooo.

I thought it was staid, bland, completely boring, and not very original. Too much work was put into intellectualizing the language, scenery, and events, resulting in quite a turgid ball of crap that would only entertain idiots. Poorly written, poorly composed.

I thought it was pretty good overall....Tom Hanks was "ok" (imo) as the professor but what I liked were the symbolisms in the movie...I've always had doubts about religion in general because it was invented by humans and its use as a "control" up to this day & age.

Well what I though about this was it was off the hook because it's the real answer too life. What is god simple a woman I new that all along there are what bring life to everything and we should prase them like they should be. That why jesus keep saying he was the son of god. Because his mother was the key to his life and bring's him in to the new world and may be religion is real what made him look divine.

Its a great movie. A bit confusing. But it makes you question alot, and think alot. I like the way it makes you think. And the fact that no one is who they really seem to be.

Was a pretty darn good fictional book, a lil brain scratching but somewhat convincing. They did a good job with the movie also, followed the book compleatly. i recomend both

Props to Dan Brown for making something so controversial even in this day in age.

I thought the book was pretty good.
It was a little heavy on acient facts but that is why I found it interesting.

As for the person who said "i liked the movie".
You are an idiot. We are talking about the book which is NOT the same. The movie sucked.

.starscream.

It wasn't as good as the hype made it.

It's plot was fast paced, which was nice, and packed with information but lacked vividness.

The book was amazing, I could not put it down. The way he incorporated the story and the religious part was incredible. The one thing I did not like was, jumping one plot to the other. I am stoked to watch the movie and I just bought one of his other books angels and demons. that is another book that is really good to
