BOOM!
What a great ending to a sucky summer!

It sort of reminded me of the weed march, in that I ran into [what seemed] everyone I've ever known in my entire life.
--> REUNION MASSIF

Great idea posting it on facebook because a lot of non-sketchies from school showed up, which definitely helped out with the vibe. Parties like this make me consider coming out to raves more often again! Anyone who went definitely got in touch with mother nature at some point of the night. tongue

BIGups to Geraldo Aminals and Bigsss, as well as Magik + Scarbreeeezy for an all-around great set. There were a lot of people rinsing out hard ontop of the dancehill.
xx

p.s. Queen Street East & West = Toronto's Raverhood.

Fun night.
Great performers [after the first hour or two].

About an hour after the party ended, an ambulance and fire truck showed up to help some kid overdosing on K outside the venue. Not sure how he danced, if knew what was going on [at any point], and to that end, why he even showed up. oh well

Big ups to Future Sound for all the hard work they clearly put into the party.

This was my first time at Blak and my first party in 5 months! Cute venue, saw some of my favourite loverlies...

Even with my leaving early and there being a tiny crowd, the music was awesome, the people, great, and the vibe, even better.

Happy birthday (belated and soon-to-come) to Xofer and Jess, etc.

That party was loads of awesome even though it got shut down early...

Awesome music.
The set of the night was definitely Mr. Brown vs. Spinz.
I rinsed out [sorry- "brucked" out roll eyes] on stage until my face turned purple! wow

The security guards WERE really crabby [per usual]; I even saw one instigate a fight with some kandi kids until the owner finally called the cops...

The thing about the security guards at Opera House, is they always have to have the last word. If you don't, "yes sir", "no sir" them, you're usually out on your ass for the rest of the night; partyless, friendless, FUNless.
So lesson of the night;
don't fuck around with Opera house security, or your ass cheeks and the Queen street pavement will have quite the rendez-vous, let me tell you wink

Anyways, I don't know [or care] about you, but Iiiiii had loads of fun. Can't wait 'til the next party!

(with an even better after-party with Email Sean and crew tongue)
Greg and Tony played a SICK set; rinsed the fuck OUT.

Can't wait for the next one. <3

...althoughhhhhhh
one of the sets (I won't be a bitch and namedrop) was really REALLY shitty.

(-1 star for the little glitch)

"How many ravers does it take to fix a generator?"

The sets were THOOOOOOPER AWETHOME

and the fact that it was a smaller party actually made it MORE fun!

Less sketch
Less drama
More dancing...
fun fun fun smile

The party definitely got wayyyy better by the end of the night! tongue
So to all who left early cuz the crowd wasn't "big enough"...

A "zero rating" doesn't actually effect the party's rating as a whole; so effing put some stars down, people wink

But yeah; this party would probably have made more money if it were an all-ages event (being that it was the promoter's first party.) You've got to be known to throw a damnnn good party, if you're gonna make it 19+. Nineteen plus parties entail telling half the people who want to go to your party to fuck off and find somewhere else to party that night tongue
See, this doesn't actually work out if only 100 people wanted to go in the first place wink I'm guessing that the best bet for this promoter was to start off having an awesome all-ages party with a great line-up (etc.) and then have an even better 19+ party with all the people who enjoyed their first party so much....
People under nineteen are usually dying for a place to go on their weekends; they don't have many options.

(...personal opinion.)

p.s. I bet that calling back the event photographer would also have been a good idea; way to make the people who didn't come to your party wish they did.
*cough cough*
As of now, no one can even see what kind of party it was tongue
We can just rely on the already-crappy reviews that were posted.

wow. best movie I've ever seen in my life. It was definitely pretty disgusting at times, but showed me how I don't wanna turn out. it was basically an entertaining way to learn about the extremes of drugs. fucked up, but awesome smile
