Garbage. It goes to show you what passes for entertainment these days, underage rape, mutant's running around and killing people and then burning them to death, killing dogs and babies, Im kind of tired of that genre. The horror genre died along time ago, now these films are just about how much senseless you can fit in around a stupid storyline.

I had alot of fun last night, mainly because got to see a whole bunch of people that I havent seen in along time..not just Niagara, but Toronto and Hamilton people as well. I had purchased Serato during the week and when I heard CD Djs were going to be there, I decided to give them a shot.

I didnt feel comfortable playing on them, dont get me wrong- they are amazing- but I would need more time getting used to them. For pretty much the entire set I played my own tracks as well as Hardtrips. I hope people enjoyed the CD I gave away, Id like to come out again..Thanks Steve-O and Sound Fx for having me out there, and getting me a ride too.. smile

I thought the movie was excellent too. I read the book, and I have to say the main bad guy literally gave me the creeps. Which doesnt happen any more really. I think people have to set aside common perceptions of the typical Good Guy vs Bad Guy film when seeing this movie. The ending was a shocker, but it also goes to show you that Good doesnt always Win. I think they did any excellent job staging the suspense as well. The fight could have gone either way, they both almost killed each other anyways. The movie ended on a tragic note. I can see why people didnt understand it, I say read the book.

There isnt much more that can be said, allthough I saw it when it first came out and never really appreciated the humor till I watched it again when I was a bit older. Amazing movies, proof you dont need a wackload of violence to sell a plot.. I wish they made more movies like that..

Showed up at around 11:30= just in time to hear Rex Manning slamming out another wicked set. Those two flow like water. Nice to see the full 4 deck action going on too.. Afterwards, Capital J came on and for some reason it got MUCH louder.

haha.hmm..wonder why!!? Capital J pretty much is the best DnB Dj this city has to offer. Its pretty funny when some of the so called big names in the city play Capital J tracks, infact- pretty much all of the WEMF DnB headliners - play his tracks!! I didnt get to see him scratch it out though..he has some serious turtable skills though.

I like Opera House for a venue, the Security seemed a little crabby. But then again , people werent cooperating and being noisy and retarded out side. Being disrespectful to little old lady Security Guards isnt cool, if that was my mom trying to make ends meet - id hang you upside down in front a streetcar by your ankles. It also pissed off the venue owner severely.

What was with the Jerry Springer cat fight out front anyways?? Not the massive turnout that I thought there would be, but still a solid jam!

Showed up at about 11- right before I played. I have great timing, the Gardiner for some reason is down to 1 lane everynight-all summer siesta style. Everytime I drive by I see one guy walking around!! Traffic sucks.

Got to the door and was greated with a handshake and an envelope. A little sidebar, that is a really professional thing to do. Everyone should be doing that! The mixer was brand new DJM 800- which is an amazing mixer. Unfourtunately I dont want to sell an organ on the black market for one!! Well with that mixer you get what you pay for thats for sure!!

They also had Torque set up, but since I had only used it once before- I forgot how to cue up the tracks I had. Even though Cynex helped me load em on!! Bad me. I recorded all sorts of tracks to play at the party too. I actually had a little bit of hard time hearing the monitor, I used back up headphones. Sadly my other headphones were STEPPED ON at a under-the bridge party a couple of weeks ago. Some drunken fatty stepped on them!

I played a slower set then usual - I noticed the real action was upstairs !! We still had some people downstairs though. Mike Conradi came on next and started tearing it up with Breaks. I didnt stay for long because my ride came early. I checked upstairs though, I beleive Elixir/Jaxx were playing. There were alot of people upstairs thats for sure. I would say that party was a success, I regret not being able to stay longer.

Thanks Bassteasers for having me out!

Showed up at around 10:30 just in time for our set. I got to hear Decibel for a bit. He has banging choice for Hardstyle. He was nice enough to lend me his headphones for our set, as mine werent working.

Then it was our turn(Ruff n Tumble) So I put my CD down that has all of my own recorded material on it, and not even in 2 mins- it was swiped. So Hardtrip threw down some of his own material instead. We actually played 2 our Ruff n Tumble tracks. The crowd seemed to be really diggin it, I was having a blast as was Hardtrip.

After came Lady Bass, who played a solid set!! She is a great techincal mixer. I enjoyed her set from what I leard of it. Red Turtle was slammin too- deffinately would book that guy in a heartbeat. I got to hear a bit of Sound Fx/ Steve-0. Two of Niagaras finest Djs there. Frolic came on at about 12:30. Apparently he played Vinyl because the CD decks were entirely working. Just on one side.

Even though the turnout wasnt huge the vibe was slamming, glad they did some painting downstairs too. Awesome seeing so many people dancing and asses shaking!! Hopefully we have a chance to throw it down again. Saw lots of people I havent seen in a while toosmile

good job PH. (Christiantongue)

In a way Im happy alot of people have positive reviews for the event, as it encourages the next WEMF. However, after attending 10 Wemfs- I have to say that this one had some minor/major issues.

We showed up Thursday night to set up the Terror Inc stage. The Security were searching cares in a near ridiculous CIA manner style. 25 Minutes each Car. There were allready 40 Cars there. We waited 3 hours to wait for 6 cars being searched. I finally got so annoyed, that I just went and got my pass and told them I was setting up and to search our Car next. The seach was awesome- they took everything in our Van out( very neatly packed) turned everything inside out including new items just purchased..and then threw everything in.

We were officially the first ones set up, and watched everything over time build up around us. The sound complaints issue was just retarded. Why would they try and throw a party that thrives on Volume, and outdoor renegade stages- in a place where there is residential housing within earshot. We couldnt event get a flow going really and when we did, Security would come by and tell us to turn it off. They did that to the other 15 outdoor stages set up too.

Then there were drunks, asshole thugs from Scarborough, K-Tards everywhere literally. Almost sprained my ankle tripping over somebody completely passed out/k-wholed. To my amazing , his friends didnt care and where actually trying to feed him fluids while he was unconcious. I said 'are you guys high?!? he'll choke to death!'.

Having the stage pass was cool, alot of the acts I saw were entertaining. But I just didnt feel the vibe or flow that I have felt at previous WEMF's. Mixmaster Mike, Mstkrft, Mark Eg , Chris Liberator, and Rex Manning were great. I luved the indoor venue though, but it was just in a bad spot. That is Welland, its not on the outskirts.

I am disgusted at the fact that the place looked like a refugee camp and had the sanitary conditions of one by Sunday morning. How sloblike do people have to get? When people are actually being injured and breaking limbs from tripping over garbage?Cleanup costs ALOT of money, and it can also be the make or break as to whether the venue is useable again. Money is one thing, but damage to the grounds after the fact. I saw alot of damage in the bathrooms, tire tracks everywhere, piles of garbage for as far as the eye could see.

It seemed like the official drug of WEMF was K. I deffinately felt like a minority. There wasnt the sense of community either. Destiny started out as a Trance company and was ALWAYS known as the 'Trance' company in Toronto. Now it seems like they have migrated to a Drum N Bass company, with a 4/4 Room.

The Hardsounds stage, well- if there were some great sets..good luck hearing them. The roof on that building would probably have to be replaced as the vibrations were so strong that the entire building was literally bending and flexing.

Welland is Grape and Wine country, it gets cooler at night and makes it easier to grow risky crops. Somehow the weather in the area wasnt considered either. It was about 30 during the day, and about 14 or 15 at night.

The new condensed version of WEMF isnt what I remember it to be. For events like this to be full on enoyable, its the people that make it happen. Your spending 3 days with Ten Thousand strangers.

There were some high points, the Renegade stages providing MUCH NEEDED DEPTH. Lord have mercy, where was the HARDHOUSE? Chicago? Ghetto Techno? Tech-House?HARDSTYLE? in the main room? Those are big room genres and could have easily been added. I tip my hat to people who did the independant stages. Had fun still partying with my friends, so I can say that was good. But everything else - was just plain bluh.

The Satanic Bible

Okay, correct me if Im wrong. But who came first- The Holy Bible or the Satanic Bible. Considering that the Holy Bible in its various forms is at least 2000 Years old, and that it is the FIRST book to mention Satan - dont you think that would be a wiser book to read if you wanted to know about the Devil?

Those who read the Satanic Bible and then refuse to beleive in the existence of God are basically being led astray. This book could not have existed without the Bible existing first. As the advent of Satan didnt come until after the passage of various Old Testament events.

So Gods personal Biography is written 2000 years ago, Satans personally biography is written in 1969 by an unstable Human being targetting weak minded people and celebrities- I wonder what book has more truth in it.

Satan is Father of lies, God is the Father of Love. Why anyone would waste their time with this GARBAGE is beyond me. Satanic rituals include simple things such as ouiji boards, tarot cards, seances, meditation. REAL SATANIC rituals include blood letting, human sacrifice, virgin sacrifice, infant sacrifice, skinning human beings alive, murdering animals for entertainment etc.

What possible positive Philosophy would you get from a Book, based on a Character is intended to be the bringer of destruction for all mankind.

I wouldnt even wipe my ass with this book, id make more fun of it except for the fact that its likely sending people to hell for reading it.

EDIT-Glitter Stick: Im not going to have my beliefs slandered by someone who seems primed to just start shit in general. Anton LaVey was a CARNY- yes a Carnival worker. Thats how he got his start in the world, and like many people- he scoffed at the Hypocrisy of so called Christian's who would sin on Saturdays show up for Church on Sundays.

Not to mention that post death and prior, Anton LaVey has been accused of blatan plagirism. He started a cult for selfish reasons, not so that he could save lives from the tyranny of a moral code.

The entire book is a moot point. If you dont believe in God or Satan at all, then the book is just a pop culture phenomena that was designed to entertain you. If you do believe in God and Satan, that it is either going to offend or entertain you.

I suggest before bashing me, you should learn a little more about who the real Anton LaVey was. A book is not just a book. Some books are more influential the others. Was Mein Kampf another Book? No it wasnt. It started a whole belief system that almost destroyed the free world as we know it.

LaVey started a cult, a cult in which he took many wives, got laid , did drugs, partied and practiced certain rituals blah blah blah. So did Jim Jones, Koresh, and a line of weak and manipulative men a mile long. He isnt original, and neither is his book or his beliefs. People have been bashing Judaism, Christianity and Islam long before this tripe came out.

TIMEBOMB REVIEW

First of all, I have to thank everybody that lent their efforts for this party. Its amazing to see how many people can come together to try to pick something up that was in risk of completely failing. Apparently the word has not spread, and I count on other people ( YOU GUYS!!) to spread it out that at the last minute- we had to change this party to a 19+ event.

The bottom line is that I refuse to use venues that are over packed, crammed, in risk of getting shut down from a STUPID minor violation. (I have worked in the Fire Protection industry, apprenticing as a Sprinkler Fitter part time- as a side bar. I am VERY familiar with the Fire Code, as well as Health Code). Another reason why the Police target 'RAVE' promoters is because of our unsavory record of putting people inside venues that pose serious health risks.

Lack of Fire Exits, Emergency lighting, and the standard room the breathe. Our doing things like throwing a party in a parking garage filled with latent Carbon Monoxide and oil by products ( remember Death-a-balloo-??!) as some of you may remember it. Another reason why wholeheartedly despise even hearing the name Hullabaloo. As a vast majority of partiers fail to realize the significance of what that meant for our scene.

It created a huge shift and a breaking point that finally caused the Police and Media to fully concentrate their efforts on ruining these events and pressuring venue owners into shutting us out. It made our then Mayor Mel Lastman look completely retarded on TV, as he described what his speech writer obviously forget to turn on the internet and do some research. But people listen to the Mayor. As he signs paycheques and tells everyone what to do.

Fast foward to now. We looked for a venue and found a 150 person art gallery on the Danforth and Greenwood. Considering that we lost half of our all ages crowd, We would have at least got that many all ages. Considering we ended up with 150 19+. That creates a math equation that Police would fully exploit. It would be stupid, people would have a terrible time.

Im not going to spend $3000 Dollars on the Big Bop Flop Plop, that building is about to fall over and its been overused more times that Jenna Jameson. Fun Haus wanted $3000 as well. El Mcambo and the other 3 or 4 venues that are friendly to all ages and 19+ were booked.

What the Police are doing right now is serious. They are pressuring club owners to shut down. They have HAND HELD EMP (Electo Magnetic Pulse) Devices that are the size of a Pop Can. They walk in to a venue and tell you to turn down the music. If you dont, they turn off the Music by using that device by temporarily blinding anything electronic and disabling it. They also have routinely harassed ENTERTAINMENT (Djs) - which was something they NEVER did at all. Rarely at most. Including shutting another Party down on Friday because the Dj didnt have id, 100 patrons were sent packing.

So do we cancel the party, risk loosing money and face? No. I dont give up. We pulled together and recreated it. For the sake of the people - I always try everything I can to avoid cancelling an event. I never have. I do feel very bad for the all ages crowd that we werent able to do this for them. It was specifically aimed at both 19+ and all ages. Some people are upset about it. I understand and I care. But realize that not everything is easy when your trying to do things like this. FULL REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AT NUMB FOR THE UNDER 19 CROWD- WE HAVE NOT COLLECTED ANYTHING FROM THEM AND WILL GIVE PLENTY OF TIME FOR REFUNDS- If anybody has problems, they can contact me on here, or lairdriver13@hotmail.com.

For those who did attend. I have to say that I really did actually have fun at the party despite the fact that our performance at the door could have been better. However, we did flyering specifically at Pride with last minute made flyers. The Second Floor volume had to be turned down to a certain volume because of the Gestapo. They showed up twice the night before and that night to tell the Security. Mind you..all the DJs pushed it anyways..lol But not to crazy.

We rented 2 Full Color lasers, one on each floor. We had 4 Track spots , 4 UV Cannon Blacklights, 4 White Lights, Discoballs, Disco Mirror Balls, we also brought enough sound to collapse the building. But we didnt need it because the Venue allready had sound. Which was funny because 2 days before they DIDNT upstairs.

Somebody actually left his system behind, and then came to collect it last minute. Just before the doors open, he DIDNT EVEN care!! He said he would come back at 2 after the Bar upstairs closed.

All the sets were great. Navigator kicked ass and showed why Chicago needs to get played more often. Cynex showed alot of diversity and kept the crowd pumped. Mike Conradi, totally owned the crowd. He kicked some fucking ass with Techno. His partner in crime absent for Rex Manning was absent because of Food poisining.
Whatever he compensated for it worked!!

Then the Darklord of all things Espace -Paladin 5.1 came on. He actually unveiled his latest upgrades at the party. Lets just say he looks seriously evil without the helmet on. The Dancefloor totally ate up his set. The space to Dance became an issue as for some reason people like to STAND AROUND on the floor- DANCE or Move!! haha..
He honestly pulled out alot of tracks I hadnt heard before. He had the full attention of the crowd the entire time.

After he went outside for about a half hour and almost stopped traffic literally. There must have been 100 people that came up and were directly in awe, then the rest of the club next door - amazingly the Cops didnt drive by. We have pictures of the entire event that will be posted shortly, courteousy of Jammcat and Harddtripp.

Dizmoe is a serious talent, he THREW DOWN a bumping Techno set that kept the floor going right till the end. We actually gave up OUR set so that he could play as - playing for 15 minutes upstairs was simply not going to do. Both Harddtripp and myself were just to tired and busy running things - it worked out for the best.

Dynamic opened the night upstairs, Happy Hardcore isnt my thing - but for some reason he played it in a way that even I didnt mind it - and that is saying ALOT. Not to mention Tim is one of the nicest guys I have met in a long time. Miss Blyss came on after and my favourite type of Jungle- Jungle that I like. Not Massive Anthems, and Congo Natty over and over again, not Bup Bup or Boh Boh.

She plays tracks that not alot of people have, and has a deep understanding what she plays. She played the whole time feeling under the weather too, I am happy she came. Ken Finch and Opel - as far as I know hadnt officially played together at a party as they told me. Im not sure why not, They pounded it out and through down a variety of NRG sounds.

For those of you who missed DSP, im not going to get into complications - whatever it was, lack of communcation and stubborness- Im not going to divulge the personal details. As it happened it wasnt clear whether he was going to attend the day of the event. Therefore we adjsusted accordingly. I want to have him at the make up date, allthough Im not entirely positive that would happen now.

We had alot of good fortune at the party, not financially. I can tell from the reviews that alot of people enjoyed the party, despite all of the stress we had dealing with last minute transformations.

[b]This party kind of just re-affirms my beleif in the ability of 19+ events, showcasing 'rave' sounds- that arent heard in clubs, but ARE in a club atmosphere. All the stuff that is being played in clubs is 130 BPM max, if its what we play 4/4 or 3/4. I like Electro and House alot. But there are ALOT Of other sounds. When Guvernment has their special 'high energy nights'. People freak out like its the second coming on the Dance floor.

I enjoyed the party for the most part. I didnt get the full experience as I worked the door most of the night. When I came in, I heard Frisky hammering out some ultra cheesey Euro. But thats what he was booked for and he delivered. Reminded me of the early 90's alot. Christian and SOS played a great set. Reminded me very much of Espace and early Nightmare parties. Sam Punk was great, but I only caught about half of his set. Super nice guy, he is actually Croatian -but lives in Germany. Interesting..

The only cons I had are - When you are coming into the front door, dont push past the door guy like you own the place. Show your wristband, your stamp, proof of payment or EXPECT to get hassled. I stopped about 5 people last night that just tried walking in. This isnt a 50 Cent Video and your G-Unit crew still has to pay to get in.

Second, Im mortified by how hard some 'KIDS' are partying. I do mean kids. With the amount of puke and all sorts of other nasty crap- it just puts further stress on our allready beaten scene. There are no RIGHT rules to doing drugs, as it is a moral choice. However, when you do drugs in Public- you become someone elses problem.

There are not many companies doing all ages parties in this City, if we keep it up- we wont have any left..SMARTEN UP!

The movie had some poop on it. I very much enjoyed Spiderman, and have probably watched it 30 times by now. Spiderman 2, almost as many times. Spiderman 3 forced to much into one story. They either should have removed Sandman or Goblin, and focused on a much more ' FOCUSED' story line.

Peter getting all emo was cool and all, I really liked how he pushed that bouncer who touched his arm..the bouncer had this 'wtf?!" look on his face. Venom is a cool villian, but he didnt have the impact I expected either. Its proof that the all mighty Marvel can even put out a duller movie. IT was by no means a failure or flop, but its lacking the vision and genius that the first two had.

Deffinately a slamming party. The place was packed really tight with people in some places, but after a while it seemed like you could at least move fairly easily. Dave the Drummer was wicked and played different set then I expected. He really knows how to master a crowd. I didnt appear that he played a for as long as he was going to because of the skipping and young candy crackers constantly jumping up and down on the stage.

Since I spent most of the night by the door, I say the best set downstairs for the night was by far Jelo. His first five tracks ripped it. Who needs Dj Dan or Bad Boy Bill when you have Jelo around?! Seriously. 420 was a great party. To bad our ride was vandalized sometime during the event.

Well- even if you dont like Superman- there arent many DVD's out there that would give you 14 Dics for less then $100 bucks. The Disc comes with Superman the Movie(3 discs), Superman 2, Superman 2 The Richard Donner Cut, Superman 3, Superman 4 , Superman Returns Special Edition, Plus 3 extra DVDs- Its about 20 hours of Extras.

For the person that does like Superman, buy this Boxset. You dont need anything else. It comes in a Metal case, there are a bunch of extra items inside, plus you get a voucher for all of the original posters. The best place to buy it would be Walmart, where it retails for $85.99. Its an awesome deal. Plus all of the movies are Digitally re-scaled, so it makes watching the VHS versions seem like a joke. Amazing.

Okay, well I know that Im a little impartial to Superman. Ive been collecting the comics since the early 80's and I have pretty much followed him ever since. Ive determined that people either like Superman alot, or the hate him. There isnt much middle ground. Sure his costume may seem a little outdated compared to todays standard, but the bottom line is- he was the first Superhero and laid the groundwork for everyone else that came after him. He is the ultimate minority success story. SO- How did Superman Returns do the legend justice? Did it or Didnt it?

The sheer size and budget of Superman guaranteed that people would have the best possible visual experience of Superman possible. Singer tried to bring the comic element to life, while trying to stay true to the Richard Donner roots established in the Christopher Reeve films. What does a $300 million dollar budget buy you? Well a bunch of Airplanes, a Space shuttle, and enough explosions to rock a small city. Singer took quite a hit for going over his budget- but im glad- because it paid off in spades.

The script work was solid, Kevin Spacey played a great Lex Luthor. He did the dark Luthor quite well. His sidekick - played by Parker Posey (?!) was hillarious and she added just the right amount of humor. If you compared it to X3 or other comic book movies of that type, it destroyed X3. As that movie was a 3 part movie crammed into 2 hours. Superman was a 3 hour movie, that felt like 2 hour movie.

Brand Routh did a solid job as Superman, I say that without any regret. I didnt like the Bo-Toxed face look , and I think they over did his make up in a couple of scenes. But he had the acting down right. It isnt so much of a challenge to play Superman, as it is to play the goofy Clark Kent.

The only cons- if you could consider them that. They took some liberties with his story line- (the Super baby), They didnt explain how he survived in space for 5 years looking for a planet made out of the element that would now kill him, They also made the fortress as easy to walk into as a local Walmart. I loved the Plot, the New Krypton idea was awesome.

I liked the fact that it was 2 parts comic book movie, 1 part natural disaster flick, and one part dark comedy. Now that a sequel has been confirmed- Im hoping they bring in Braniac or Darkseid. Have him kick real ass on film, its about time. Singer will work with a much Smaller budget $180 million. But considering he did X1 and X2 on comparable budgets, the movie will likely be shorter.

A great way to spend 3 hourssmile

I dunno what to say about this movie, I watched a Burnt copy- but I found the movie really fragmented. Ali G is an amazingly funny guy, but I could deffinately see how his humor could offend alot of people. I would still recommend it to others, because of the sheer impact of the film. I raises the comedy notch.
