Loved this movie. I adore a dark musical, add Johnny Depp in the mix and it was just that much more amazing. happy The story was sad as shit, but they did a great job with it. It was a great night out with my hubby for our anniversary.

When classifying a movie as "horror" this one falls short. I'm kinda sick of movie classifications being messed up. Horror is horror, not "gorefest". That should be a separate category of it's own. The idea was kind of a mindfuck, which is cool, but the gore kills it for me every time.

I thought this one was pretty good, actually. Just when you thought, "oh, great, that's it?" there was another twist. Poor John Cusack. He had a rough night! wink I guess I'm gonna have to read the book now.

I thought the cinematography in this movie was absolutely amazing. And I'm fine with the fact that "there was no real climax" because it's based on historical fact. It's a well-filmed movie about a part of history. They couldn't embellish on it too much without ruining it. One of the best movies I've seen in a very long time.

I thought the story was cool, but some of the acting could have been done a lot better. Either Eva Mendez was trying too hard, or not trying hard enough to get into her character.

Just to put into perspective how good this book was: I got it at 10am on the nose Saturday morning (that's when the store opened where I had it reserved). I took it home, and started reading. Finished it at 5am today. And that's with taking care of 3 kids and taking a nap and making dinner and stuff. I absolutely could not put it down. Such a fitting and wonderful end to the Harry Potter saga. I'll definitely be re-reading the whole series again, just because I'm that happy with it. I don't want to spoil anything though. So, just read it!!! happy

One of the best books I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I need to find myself a new copy of it so I can read it over and over. Brilliant writing. Hilarious, and thought-provoking. READ IT NOW!!! tongue

::edit:: I found a copy of this wonderful out-of-print book and I'm in the process of reading it over. It's amazing to learn what you missed when there's a 10 year gap in between readings of a book. happy I very much love this book.

I was also in a Transformers-induced trance, mesmerized by a childhood favorite come to life on the big screen! It was amazing, and yes, I too thought that cars in the parking lot outside the theatre were going to start transforming. love

So happy with this movie. Seeing Jim Carrey in a different role was very refreshing. I also love Kate Winslet. The whole concept of the movie was amazing to me, just because it was so far off from most other movies. Loved it.

Seriously, this movie was dumb. They hyped it way too much. Ok, the concept was funny. That most people didn't know that they were in the movie and that he freaked them out was entertaining. Honestly, the only part that made me die laughing was when the kids came up to the ice cream truck and the bear roared at them and they ran away. That was the only hilarious part! Other than that, stupid waste of time.

I don't care what anyone says. This movie rocks. I'm not really into romances but I love seeing Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock together in movies. I can't say anything about the movie because if you haven't seen it I don't want to ruin it. happy happy happy
