The TDSK SHUT DOWN story

we set up on the edge of the "parking lot" Friday (behind the GME stage) when we arrived, OS/2 came over and let us know that we were in the parking area and that we would have cars parked close to us all weekend and we were cool with that.

The Saturday at 1pm this security dude (who looked like The Rock) came over on his 4 wheeler yelling and swearing at us and told us if we didnt shut down, pack up and move we were going to be ejected with our stuff seized by them. So when we relocated and tried to set up again he spazzed out on my whole crew and told us we were not allowed to set back up and if we did we would get the boot.

So essentially, Im out a bunch of time ( 3 days), money (close to $2000) and the majority of my headliners didnt get to play (so now i look like a dick) because some security dick was tired and having a bad day.

I did manage to have a good time in the end, I knew there was nothing I could do so I let it go and didnt dwell on it.

So many wickid sets all weekend, so many renegade stages, mind you the layout for the venue was WHACK to the max tho. Muddy holes, sharp sticks, long lines and overflowing shitters....thats a wemf for ya.

Over all was ok. Jungle thugs were reppin.

who the fuck was that BIG black dude on stage all night dancing like a FAG! He was wearing camo shorts and a white hat. We fucking laughed at this dude all night with his whack ass dances and aerobic type fairy dances. Too fucking much. Nigga SKIBBA does not want to grind with your gayy ass on stage at the bloodclot jungle rave. Dude get off the jib.

SS` opening track "machete" was hype.

sick venue, very professional at the door. That was nice. Elixer got em warmed up for me, then I laid some hardness on em. Klonez is a mad man big bass DJ. I like.

What a GREAT party. Just getting out of bed with NO hangover!

So much shit happened at Throwdown I cant type it all out.

Propahlantix were a bit late getting on stage cause set up for the band took a while with sound check but man did Jesse and nate get everyone warmed up.

Toronto isnt ready for the likes of Lofi, as they clearly smashed everyone with in ear shot with the crazy lyrics and banging drums. KIller as always boys.

Mike Conradi and SpedFrek Were widely welcomed after the band was done, playing a thumping techno set!

Apathy is a rude girl with her awesome selections of Hardcore!

Easyline stole the main room party goers with his as always killer breaks set.

Fuzz and I rocked out some awesome and truly HARD-To_the_Core records with fast mixes and fresh flavor that hasnt been seen in Toronto's hardcore scene in ages.

And finally Canada's BASSLINE ambassadors Zeba and Keyptic tore a fucking hole in the side room with the fresh/hottest sounds that are sweeping England right now.

So after everyone got paid we went back to the hotel for a second where Nick decided to stay with Julian and Amy in their room while Julie and I rolled back to Hamilton for a warm bed and a hot breakfast. So overall it was a great night with litle to no drama. Big up all the ravers/clubbers and Hamilton people who came to support the likes of TDSK and Terror Inc. See you all at Ghetto Blaster April 25th in Hamilton at Club Absinthe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well as the promoter I expected good times and all that jazz. But I never expected we could all pull together as a community to make what we in the industry call a "sold out show".

Nothing but big ups to the DJs and o/c the band (LOFI)!

Small downs go to the fools who skipped out on their sets. Good thing Andy (Easyline) and I brought lots of records to cover the hour+ that needed to be filled.

There was so much going on all night that I never really got to relax till we hit the hotel. But I was running back and forth from room to room and caught snippets of everyones set.

Good god am I wreck today! Came with a posse of 5 to the party..showed up about 1am drank a few beers and chilled in HolyJoes for most of the eve. As soon as I came in I was greeted by George (who works the door) and met the UK Crew as well.

Dom + Dave showed me why I like Jungle done right.
Tippy and I went at it for a lil over an hour started off hard right away and even with some technical issues Mark kept up with me lol. Serato is not as reliable as everyone would like you to think.... I dropped some of my harder stuff in the Hardstyle collection and ended off with some oldschool Rotterdam Hardcore. You know it was a good set when ppl shake your hand and ask for business cards, cds and where they can hear more of you.

So thanks again Tim and Timmy for having me play for you guys. Hope to see you all at TRR3 next year!!!!!!!! (hopefully for a Hardcore set?!?)

Wow,
The cops are assholes. We did our best to make thew jam happen. Big ups to Bomber for the bop hook ups. I had a blast other than hauling my equipment around. Next time TDSK is in town for an event we will be sure to get shit set up double time and KEEP the party going.

Kryptic killed the 4/4 Bassline
Easyline with the Breaks
and Lady J with that opening Hip hop set got the night rolling inside Reverb.
