twas a good night for me.
definately different.
the rave was held in an area that i spent alot of my childhood in (the Don Valley trail), and it felt as my worlds collided.
All the different groups of my friends, including the raver crew, converged on this one location, and it was quite a trip.
i stayed sober, true to my plan of detoxing, and im glad i did.
the enviroment was unreal (in a good way). i didnt dance much, as the music wasnt to my taste really, but i did hang out and talked with friends at an intimate/intellegent level.
i even met a really nice girl, which completed my night.

WTF. i wrote a long-ass review, and PR logged me off when i clicked save, thus losing my ENTIRE review >: (
bleh.
anyways, to sum shit up:
i gave this a 5 star rating because it will be my last chance to ever rate a WEMF. So cudos.
I was lucky that i won a "VIP" pass from PR (who were the other two?) or i wouldnt have gone. VIP is in quotations because half the stuff that was promised (VIP parking/VIP camping, REAL backstage experience) were not given as promised. im glad i didnt pay for the extras, and i feel bad for those who did and didnt get what they were promised.
I got a last minute ride the WEMF and back, thanks to Brenda (aka. LeFreak) So not only did i manage to get a ride, but i got it with one of my fav DJ's in toronto.
Thank you SO much Brenda <3 (i claim all rights to be her number one fan now  )
Friday night, i was fortunate enough to be able to get up on stage behind the DJ booth when Madam ZU was playing. I DANCE MY ASS OFF! she spun a wicked set and im happy i was able to thank her for doing so. I went off after to get water, and they wouldnt let any VIP back after, only artists :/
When i was about to call it a night, Lady Bass came on at the hardcore stage. There was a tiny crowd, and noone was dancing. I danced for her. I danced until i couldnt move, at which point i took off my mask and moved to the music until ppl started to dance. Shes willing to put in the time and effort to spin in toronto, so i made sure that she knew that the toronto ravers appreciated it. Heres to you LB
Saturday nite, the trance stage on top of the hill was EPIC. i have not heard trance that good at a event since i partied in berlin, so I LOVED IT. The music was sooo good, enough to give you a contact high from the music alone and no drugs. I was NOT expecting it, or i would have danced sober, thus, I was high when i was just walking around and chatting with ppl. when i danced to music, i was GONE. Like, trashed. the music was too good. then the sketch music for the sketchies came on, which i wasnt too happy with, but they switched over to morning trance, just as the sun was rising. It was so beautiful. Red sky at sunrise, clear blue sky, fog in the valley between the rolling hills... it was the perfect way to end the end of all WEMFs. I danced looking out to the horizon. too bittersweet Cudos to Christopher Lawrence, and thanks to Hatiras for hanging out with me
anyways, thats as much as im willing to write. i had alot more to say in my past review, but w/e.

couldnt have been better IMO.
its a nice way to start off my hiatus from raving.
just need some time to unwind, so wont be raving for a bit, dont miss me too much
anyways, darkrave v.101
music was pretty good, i had a blast.
crowd was good, ran into alot of friends, especially one suprise attendee <3
i didnt even mind the fact that there was no alcohol or the fact that i didnt really enjoy the music in the backroom (we all have our preferences, right?)
anyways, had fun

missed first post by 5 minutes wow...
good event i had fun. 5 stars.
you dont need to keep reading but feel free to.
here i am at work, 6am, yup... straight from DR.
almost didnt make it again, because of being super tired from work saturday. got home and tried to wear my expandable UFO's as shorts, didnt work, so i cut off the bottoms (they were dead anyways, so it was a matter of time). turned them into shorts and tossed on a white short-sleeved dress shirt. went out again and headed to funhaus. got there, no line up, SWEET! got in and danced my pants off, but worried that i missed LeFreak's set. was relieved to find out i didnt, but when she got on, i was already super tired from work/dancing. Danced as much as i could (especially when noone else was dancing) and got an energy boost everytime she put on a wicked tune. I danced my ass off for her  .
as soon as she finished, i could barely walk, let alone dance, but timing worked out, as it was 4am and time for me to leave to go home and shower and get ready for work.
got to work and here i am, eating a banana and sipping my red bull.
all in all, i was pretty happy with the event. had a few let downs, but thats all personal stuff and not related to DR.

Phew, i almost didnt make this event, for the same reason i've still havent slept yet.
i had work @6am, so i wasnt sure if i wanted to go, but i was convinced by a friend, and the fact that this was a fundraiser.
im glad i went.
fantastic venue, good music, $1 water FTW!
5 star for sure, would like to see more events at this venue

Sweet, first
this event was pretty live. i was jumping back and forth between funhaus and Savage Garden
crap... @ work and need to do something. will update later

so yeah. im on the opening shift at my work for 6am, so im a bit tired LOL
anyways, was jumping back and forth the two places earlier in the evening due to friends, but SG definately got better whereas Funhaus stayed meh.
music was pretty good, could have used a bit more variety. main room spun some wicked tracks, but the smaller room played better music overall IMO.
i got worried when i lost my glasses but i found them later so its all good. i felt bad for all the gothy ppl who showed up and didnt know SG was being invaded by otaku lol.
all in all, this event gets 4 stars. w00t
