Let's start off with the bad, shall we?
- We arrive at the venue and everyone starts cheering. Understandable. The only problem was that we were entirely surrounded by homes, we were smack dab in the middle of a residential area. Oops.
- The cops come because of several noise complaints. The promoters had to turn the music down. And I mean, WAY down. To the point where you didn't have to shout to hear one another, and you could hear your shoes squeaking. I've had louder house parties than this.
-For some unknown reason, the upstairs room stayed louder than the main room all night. My logic tells me, put the second room lower so that you can put the main room louder.
- Ambulance. Enough said.
- The vibe gets wierd when the music isn't loud. Everyone is just kinda looking at everyone funny.
- No Left Turn didn't show.
- The venue owner decided he had had enough at about 5am and turned the lights on. We still rocked out till about 5:15 until they told us they had to shutter' down. exT didn't get to play. SO disappointing.
On with the positives!
- HOLY SHIT THE DECO. I had no idea how amazing it would turn out. Nintendo characters surrounded the arena, there was a huge old school nintendo controller at the front, an 8-foot bowzer on the second level behind the dj booth, and the chill out room was a nintendo waterworld with uv reactive coral and fishies everywhere, and bubbles dangling from the ceiling. Mad props to the deco team.
- Sound and lights. I have never seen so much equipment at an Ottawa party. I have been in the scene for 5 years now, and this party was the best equipped party I've ever seen hands down. It even beats any sound or light I've seen in Toronto or Montreal at a rave. It was spectacular.
- Luna-C and UFO played amazing sets, as expected.
- It was really sick to party in a hockey arena.
All in all I'm really on the fence about this one. There was too much drama to call this a great party, yet I still had a lot of fun with my friends. It had amazing potential, but I don't think it lived up to the hype because of all the bullshit. The promoters did the best they could with what they had, and worked their asses off to fix any problems they encountered. I really hope there's another one

Wow, this party was very nice, the last time I saw a party like that with this kind of music was in Quebec city 4 years ago I think! (mtl parties dosen't count!) And this is a big up! 5-hours road for UFO and Luna-C... woah! I took a lot of pictures and videos, and I really loved the deco nintendo-style! I saw a lot of people costumed (yeah, I wasn't the only one!), very nice! This is not my last rave in Ottawa for sure, this is only the beginning! Thank you! =)
