Guns and Bombs got stranded in Halifax due to the snow, and that left the crowd a little sparse. IggyBaby kept the tempo down at first, and came through w/ some seriously trippy sounds. His best stuff, however, definitely came out at the after party. Next up was Coat Party, high energy rockers a 'la Atari Teenage Riot. They only played about 20 min., fast and furious, then out came sub headliner Alan Paul ( I think that's the name, normal names are too hard to remember) who RIPPED IT UP!! From the first notes the crowd came alive, raverkids twirling everywhere. Later on, I got to the afterparty to find that the hosts thought it cancelled, so it was definitely alot more low key than usual, but still silly fun throughout. I'm definitely looking forward to FreakNasty in KC for the next Cicada show.
