The vibe for this party was amazing, if you don't like Kandi Kids you shouldn't have gone because it was MOSTLY a happy hardcore rave.
All my friends were there, I met a few new awesome people it was just a fucking amazing vibe.
ps. Blak = teh shit.. defs one of my new fav clubs.

I can't get over how awesome everyone is at our parties. You guys are seriously go freaking hardcore. <3
I had a blast playing my set with Timmy. It's been over a year since we've got to tag. 
It was also awesome seeing Awesome by Association play again. Hopefully next time we'll see you in the big room where the sound system will do you guys more justice!
The security was pretty lame. If I head that so in so was the head of security around here one more time I was going to stab someone.
Blak main room was pretty sweet and ravey!

Great party, was exactly what i expected, its unfortunate that ppl keep coming back to the water bottle issue!
Thank you Timmy for having me out, i had a blast playing with AWOL, i have not played any hardstyle in a long time, and was quite happy to switch it up to some hardcore at the end, hope it wasnt to hard for the younger crowd!

I had a great time at ALOHA.
I have to say mostly because I made one.
It was my first time at BLAK [I'm from Ottawa] and I wasn't overly impressed... I was expected a bigger space and nicer staff. That being said it wasn't bad... I was just expecting more.
I really liked the underground feel of the club... I know we were in a basement but it was all painted black and low ceilings... just felt like we were hiding out.
The music was good... Joe Rowe fucking killed it [as we expect of him]... The HHC was incredible... I was so happy to see lots of kandy bouncing around.
Thanks to everybody that I met that was awesome you guys helped pull up the night for sure!
Next time we're down Ottawa will represent again!

Not trying to be rude but generally no DRINKS in the bathroom means mixed drinks and alcohol.
Security has never had a problem with refilling waterbottles since they all know people get dehydrated.
Probably miscommunication.

the place was PACKED! havent seen it like that in a while.
Personally, im not the biggest hardcore/happyhardcore fan, but it was a good vibe, everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves.
Heres to hoping NC keeps up with their parties in the near future.

Unfortunately, i wasn't able to make it to this event as I had prior commitments, but i'm happy to hear that it was a success.
I am however disturbed by the representative from the venue owner indicating that Water Bottles are not allowed in the washroom, by law.
That is untrue.
I've confirmed with the City of Toronto by Law department that no such law exists. Licenses are required for alcoholic beverage only. The reason for prevention of refills is not a mater of law, but a mater of profits for the club.

It was good to be back at the old BASSMiNT venue (is anyone here old enough to remember those days? 1998-2000ish). So much nostalgia...
I am older than 19, but I specifically chose an all-ages event because of the no-drama atmosphere and friendly peeps that usually come to these events. You guys did not disappoint! Even though me and my buddy felt a bit out of place there, since we were older than the rest of the crowd, it was still enjoyable and after a few hours we forgot that we were older.
My 1st rave in 2 years, and my 2nd rave in 7 years, but it was so enjoyable I am definitely going back to the raving scene.
Here are some of my highlights:
Good stuff:
- happy hardcore was pretty good... never thought I'd enjoy it so much
- that DnB bit that one of the HHC DJs threw in for 20 mins hit the spot (since I'm a junglist) ... does anyone know what the name of the 1st track was???
- friendly crowd and bouncers
- those cut-up straws -- THANKS!
Bad stuff:
- sound system at the smaller room sucked a55
- some of the DJs' mixing skills were pretty damn bad... and there was one girl DJ who played in the main room from 5:30am whose selection was so depressing
- too much HHC not enough DnB (but thats subjective since I'm a junglist  )

Great music, great vibe!
It's a shame the smoking section wasn't heated, doesn't take much. A bit too candied out for my taste, but friendly.
There was a girl that was dancing there all night long, hardly without any breaks, she was standing out because she was dressed plainly - tank top and jeans, and she had a girl friend with glasses and a guy friend with blond hair. They were over 19 cause she had a wrist band. Some wierd over dressed dude with a coat was hitting on both of these girls all night long...
Does anyone know who she is? I can't stop thinking about her.

Was awesome!!
The security was too intense though, felt like they were breathing down my neck constantly.
The music was LOVE, made some awesome new friends.
The only thing I was really bummed out about was the water, we asked and they said it was $3.50.... huh, spent all my money beforehand so had to bum some water from other people.
Other than that I had a blast.
Second RAVEEEEE.

NC puts the effort into their rave themes, i loved it. Good sets all around, everytime i go to blak someone plays pendulum in the end 
much respects to Xphox for busting out hardcore choonage vol 1.. that was the first HHC set I ever heard and it was a nice mix.
BOOMer did it up big, dunno why people were saying he started off too fast for... its HHC people jump up and dance whether its 9pm or 9am
overall.. SICK PARTY! can't wait till you guys come back, Bigga N Betta

Set of the night: Marty McFly! He's just such an amazing character all-around - friendly, fun, and one hell of a DJ; I for one will try to attend any party he plays at.
That being said, everybody else I heard was really solid, probably one of our most spot-on group of performers yet.
Thanks to those of you that danced so hard to my set, and I'm glad you all love the We Are Brothers Forever song as much as I do. God damned it's good!

I too had a super fun time. I would rate it 420 outta 420!! Straight-up. The vibes at the Nocturnal Commission event that night reminded me of the good old days. A room filled with happy people. You could feel the love in the air.. omg.. so much fun that I couldn't help but hug people dancing near by during the breakdowns of some songs.. it was beautiful.
I did get into some trouble with bouncer though 
I was holding a beer and felt the need to share with Timmy and everyone else by the front door how much fun I was having. So I walked over from the (non main room) dJ booth with beer in hand.. the only beer I had all night.. to shout out from the top of my lungs... how the NC crew rawked my headphones!!!! but as I was about to pass through the door this one security dude (tall slender) pushes me semi aggressively back inside. I was like whoa? what did I do to deserve being pushed... let alone being touched at all. Now I understand what he was trying to do now.. but needless to say he could have conveyed his message to me in a different manner. Like saying excuse me, you can't leave the 2nd room with that cup... So after all that... I placed my nearly empty cup down and proceeded on my mission. After a short round of highfives ... ( 10 secs) I walled back into the party picked up my beer.. and never looked back.
super fun..
next time I go to blak.
I'm going to introduce myself to all the bouncers.

Great party guys,I'm so glad I'm finally living up here in NY. I wish I'd been more energetic for the party but it was still a lot of fun! Team awesome we need to hang out sometime. And I dunno who it was but the dj who played the mario song was freaking awesome! you guys definitely made my second Toronto party= win!

in address to the water issue
BLAK management was UN-aware of the security guard efusing waterbotytles in the washroom. that has never been a rule at BLAK and never wil be. they may have gotten confused when we instructed them NOT to allow DRINKS in the washroom wich IS a rule on our liquor license (as washrooms must be licensed seperately).. however BLAK does give and did give out FREE ICE WATER at the bar at all times (provided u keep ur FIRST cup). The security have been informed of what they did wrong here and it wont happen again.

PS....hey everyone! Guess what! Not being able to refill your water bottles is NOT the promoters call, but the venues! So maybe instead of bitching about something that wasn't under their control, you can contribute something positive!
So we've all heard about the freaking water bottle issue, don't blame NC. Its done now.
PPS. People, I have a bit of advice for you...bringing valuable and/or expensive stuff to a rave is NOT a good idea. People are sketchy and assholes, and will most likely steal your shit. Please don't expect the MCs to make an announcement for every lost item either, because in all honestly, no one cares.

Way too kandied out for me but it seemed like people were having a good time.
Pretty packed for a Blak party.
At certain points of the night the main room looked like a scene from shortbus.
I liked the 18+ idea but wouldn't be much of a kandi kid party if it was 18+, but maybe thats for the best.

I really like Blak as a venue, it's clean and the floors aren't slippery. Great music... It got really packed later
