Ok let me say i have faith in the canadian rave scene once again!
Me Jess Grant Badder and Alley left on Friday afternoon and had a nice fun drive up north full of all sorts of fun activities! we threw around the idea of going 2 algonquin park for he night but i said fuck that my cottage is 5 minits from the venue so we got there at like 11 and my cotage has been sold 4 2 years and we dont won it so i went to the neighbors who own it now but no1 was there so we drove down the driveway but 1/2 way it was blocked by broken trees so we had 2 walk like 100 meters in the dark 2 my cottage i climbed in through a ladder 2 the loft window and let evry1 in it was a lil bit of a mess and evrything was taken apart but 1/2 an hour later we had a sick chill place and there were just enough candles so we had a good 1st night got fucked up at my cottage and had a cool amaising plce 2 stay,had a beautiful fire and cool talks, we went swimming in the morning and i think badders balls froze off in the lake somewhere hahaha so after breaking into my cottage we put everything back and said goodbye
it was soooooooooo nice 2 go back there
we left around 1:30 hit up town for some supplys and got 2 harvest at 2
we were like the 3rd or 4th car there
found a location set up and looked around the property
let me say this was the most amaising venue that there could ever be it looked like liveing art certain locations wer set up with lighting so beautiful and this place from day to night is a different world!
After dark the circus act began people all gathered 2 watch it and it was pretty cool after it ended the party and music began there was a goa/trip hop chillin/acid tec chill stage and an INTENCE PsyTrance/Dark trance stage with intence blacklight art
my dancing was straight off the hook i have a video but its only a small piece i was so off the hook i had the djs at the end of the night cheering 4 me and thanking me 4 bringing so much energy 2 there set this Dj team was soooooooo sick all live pa/cd mixing with computer shit thrown in perfect set man best ive heard soooo amaising danced allllllll night long by the end my dancing was inhuman and i looked like the most tired broken rave u could imagine i danced so hard my pants disintagraded and i had 2 stop dancing cuz i had mo crotch or leg 2 my pants but that was at like 8 in the morning lol
after the circuz i looked 4 acid and found a guy with liquid acid and he poured i tiny dot on my hand and was like oh thats not enough and then boom dropped a puddl on my hand and was like ...oh shit...well i cant put it back in so just do it...u'll be ok i think"
oh i was ok....actually it didnt hit me 2 hard so i went back a few hours later and got another lil splash...NOW I WAS GONE lol i danced and danced and tripped and danced lol
the landscapeing there was magical so amaising cant wait to go back
Badness and al had "fun" 2 hahaha they wer something else i'm so glad we went with them good vibes all weeekend and the ride home was fun 2 lol
pn the way out i found a lil g on the ground there was only a cap left o wen we got 2 mc donalds i drank it and pased out and the ride home seems like a 5 second trip in my memorie(Y) HAZAH
definatly cant wai till next year this rave is the sickness

By far the best Harvest yet! The venue was incredible, the people were amazing, and the vibe was fantastic!
I hope they return to Midlothian Ridge again next year, because the bizarre statues and exotic animals were the perfect setting for the festival. The colourful foliage simply enhanced the natural beauty of the land, and the weather was ideal.
All in all, one of the best festivals I've been to in my entire life.

Words can't even describe my experience at Harvest this year.
The venue, the people, the music - everything combined took on almost a surreal quality.
Simply an amazing night.
Harvest is definitely the best celebration of the year.

Wow, (my first) Harvest was great! The land... they have definitely struck gold with this place. Full of natural beauty, ponds and rivers, massive, climbable, eerie sculptures, ducks (natural and imported), emus (!) and peacocks. Gorgeous rolling hills, swimming, food, stories, missions, conspiracies and lots of fun.
The vibe was quite something and I actually feel like I knew a little less than half the people there, which makes me wonder why I'd never gone before. Also, almost every local Burner was there, which made me happy!
Music - pretty good. The techno was really old school, classic minimal techno, where the mixing makes it seem more like different loops are being cued instead of different records. Psy was alright, world beats not so much. Could have used some (non-tech) house.
The "two days one night" thing is brilliant too, because people definitely give it their all and party hard, but by the time we left it felt like we had been there all weekend, with only one third the sketch of WEMF and one thousandth the litter.
But please people, light yourself up! Tripping over people sucks! One glowing necklace is good enough, but creativity is welcome
