We got out of the city at 1:45, after eating some chicken salad sandwiches and some homemade soup.
The trip down was fairly quick, and we were at the Regency not long after 3PM. We ate a few burgers, and checked into our room (Which was nowhere near as bad as expected. The "Hollywood Motel" in Orangeville, where I stayed for WEMF was much worse.
We smoked a doobie, and hit the road to go to the LCBO & Beer store. We got wrong directions from Andy, but were able to make it pretty easy.
After hitting the liquor store, we went down Jory & Renee's hotel room, and enjoyed good company, and good laughs.... After a bit, we went back to the Regency, and pre-drank, going back and forth between the bar and the hotel room.
I didn't catch many of the Djs before me, and I COMPLETELY forgot to tell mark that Lairdriver couldn't make it (I just realized this now actually.) We ended up stepping on the decks @ 10PM, and played one of our tightest and best sets to date. All but the very near of my set, where Cofer touched my record while setting up Scratch. :p
The rest of the music the night was fantastic. Great sets by Chris, Jory, Mark, Xotec and Don Burns. The drinks were great, and only 3.50 (which is jokes compared to Toronto prices!) My only negative comment was the lack of sitting space downstairs. Half the chairs from upstairs should have been brought downstairs to provide sitting room. I couldn't dance the whole night, but wanted to hear the DJs, and ended up bringing my own chair down @ 3AM.
Great job Babylon. Thanks to Mark, and everybody else involved in making this event happen. It was great to be there.

we had an awesome time last night.....great to hang with everyone...sorry we couldn't stay longer (still sick)
thanks to mark and crew for throwing an awesome event....thanks to Aron and "Tyson" for the ceremonial drunken hotel room brawl reminiscent of "Peter vs. the Chicken"....man, those two can wail on each other something fierce. and finally....special thanks to the beautiful Sorrelle (my baby) who, with the help of Dan, kept the downstairs rockin' by fixing the technical problems aka power bar....MUAH !
I hope everyone had a great time....we did!
SEE Y'ALL NEW YEARS!!!! CHIPPAWA RULES !!!!

Heeeeeeey ...its MartyMcFly back from 1994, when the Babylon crew first started. What I killer trip I had.. for a sick guy that is.. I had no idea how I got sick but uggg.. time travel does that to you. It makes it tough to speak to the masses when you have no vocal cords. With that said.. my girl Angie rode shotgun with me and our adventure was memorable.
We landed on Sept 22 @ 4:20.. ok.... more like 4:44pm, where this cool cat named MARK Grimace invited us to join him for some lunch. The smell of grilled cow filled the air and eventually our tummy's. It was a culture shock.. this type of food called a HAM-burglar, but the chef who prepared it cooked it perfectly.
It was during lunch when I realized the Delorean was damaged and needed additional power to get back home.... 1.21 gigawatt's of power to be exact. Angie and I headed over to this great natural wonder called the Niagara falls. The birthplace of this Babylon group. My thinking was, we might be able to harness the power of the falling water to get back home. While doing this I took some photos of these funny creatures called tourists. A funny bunch these tourists as they all did they're own thing while I did mine. Eureka, success we had!!! Now all charged up, we drove back to the BBQ place called the Regency where we set up our sterile sleeping quarters and took a nap after a long journey. This nap turned into a deep sleep and I woke up 3am-ish.. I put on my MartyMcFly time travel disguise and ventured out into the party atmosphere. I met all these other cool cats just walking around talking about music and their own time travel experiences. One was a DR of Trance. Another some kind of Elixir. I'm still processing the night. But let's just say everyone had a cool story to share.
4am..
I went to visit the dJ booth..
the reason I was there.
I played music from past and present.
freaking out the dancefloor occasionally.
fun times this babylon..
Thankyou Mark for everything.
I will speak highly of you to all those I met in the future. Very Happy
My next time travel experience will occur in Toronto: OCT 6th 2007 pr:/events/16441
