This party ALMOST didn't happen for me, and boy am I glad I managed to make it.

Talked work into letting me out early, made the three hour trek up to Toronto just in time for Luna-C to come on the decks. Wicked choons as always from the man.

Luna-C was followed up by Mannik and I have to say that that was a bit of excellent planning on the part of the promoters. The sets flowed beautifully. ACtually all of the sets flowed logically and smoothly from one to the next and that was one of the best parts of the event.

After Mannik, Tyco came on for some excellent floor-smashing happy hardcore, ooold styles, and I found myself bouncing at top speed.

Finally, LeFreak closed out the night with some beautiful morning trance and I think that this is the first time I've ever really grooved to trance at a party. Just fantastic.

The vibe was incredible but I expected no less from Robotpilot and Airhead. The decorations were amazing! This was the first event in a long time that had that air of adventure about it. Like we were exploring a new place. Awesome.

This party gets 5 stars, and everyone of them was earned. I haven't danced like that since Bacchus' birthday.

Once again, the level of work and dedication and pure energy that went into this was amazing.

Finally - a very happy anniversary to David and Teva!!! Love is amazing, just like both of you. <3

What a serious night

I was there before the doors opened and heard some of every single set and there wasn't a weak one in the lot

I did expect Luna-c to dust off some serious old school but that was possibly the only disapointment in the night
people still rocking the fuck out @ 6am

Tyco played hardcore from its glory days and it was brilliant

I actually have a tie for the set of the night
Psyklone Serious breakcore bizness and the place was loving it

and

Double dee
Unfourtunatley there was only about 6 people in the basement by the time he hit the decks and what a godddamn shame. More b-more than you can shake an ass at licks

The vibe felt like 99-2001 and for once (in a real long time) I was happy to consider myself a raver

Robotpilot and Airhead congrats on the event of the year...so far

Teva & David are wonderful promoters to work with, in 6 years of throwing rave type parties I've never had a better experience! And the crowd was amazing! Thank you everyone!

Everybody there made my night. And I mean everyone. You guys were so cheerful and full of energy, so many smiles and new faces. I had an absolute blast.

The venue was fantastic. It was the perfect size for the amount of people who showed, it did get a little hot but that's when you know people are really raving. Loved the decorations =)

DJ's: ALL SUPER. LUNA-C, Destro and Virus were my favourite. Destro made me go nuts, that's what gabber does to me. I almost passed out from the non-stop jumping around during his set.

The bartenders sucked. They underfilled my drinks, and one of them wasn't particularily nice. But whatever, not a huge deal.

Overall, a FUCKING 10/10!!!

Thanks for throwing such an amazing event Mrs. Teva and Mr.David! You guys ROCK! (and paper and scissors in case you were wondering.)

This was a top notch event.

I didn't dance as much as I would ahve liked... I was just TOO exhausted from an event I had to play the night before.

Great sets all around. I'm dumbfounded as to why nobody even mentioned Dj Virus, who played right before Luna-C.

That set was TOP notch. I'd even go as far to say that he outshone the headliner. I've only ever seen him play a few times, but i'd have to say this was the most i've ever enjoyed hearing him

Thanks to Robotpilot and Airhead for the wicked time.

Music wasn't my style, but I knew that before goingtongue

The DJ's still played amazingly, I really enjoyed Tyco's & LeFreaks set. The Promoters, ravers, decor and vibe.. all amazing.

Good job Teva, David and those from Airhead!

Look forward to another onewink

Congratulations Teva and David for an amazing party..and for your wedding anniversary happy happy happy happy
love love love

you goes sure know how to do things right smile
candy, give aways [i gots me a wee little teddy], fantastic line up, good venue [minus some unfortunate power problems], great crowd, CRAYONS + masks, wicked decorations, lights.. what more could someone ask for?

sure shows that ravers WILL pay more when the event is worth it happy happy.. i know i will happy happy

sets:
Baby Duck - OMFG.. i arrived just as Raoul was begining, and might i say.. I LOVE 1990s EURO-dance.. it's a shame that Marty couldn't be there.. but the make-up set was MORE THAN a great replacement.. i haven't danced that much in ages.. and i lost my voice singing along to my favourite tunes from my childhood. WHOOOO happy

ZZ Bottom - griiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime happy what more can i say? super-fun

Luna-C - great set.. but it was just a bit-too-much like the Ottawa set that i had been listenin to for a week straight.. i'm not saying that i didn't like it.. i was just really really looking forward to a 2 hour old-school set.. maybe next time someone will bring him for a Live-PA cause boy is that man incredible in a studio smile

Saskrotch - i've heard some pretty bad breakcore in the past..and it sounded like pots n pans clanking and lots of noise... BUT THIS MAN WAS INCREDIBLE.. not only did he arrive at the begining of the night and was partying amongst all the ravers.. but his talent is OFF THE WALL.. WOW WOW WOW wow crazy.. drum n bass at hyper-speed? haha. WICKED.. loooooved that breakcore remix of Limb by Limb. soooooo gooooood happy

i remember when my sister took me to my first rave.. when i was just 13 years old.. this party brought back that same vibe that i loved so much. <33333333

it was a last minute decision to come out.. and i wasn't disappointed at all!happy (usually i hate going out nowadays, but my god, i LOVED the shtunes!)

my friend mona and i walked up to door (thanks for hookup Teva <3) and saw B7 with Deztro, who was rushing in to spin.

Most Notable:
Deztro's set was definately most pleasurable happy
Saskrotch. what could i possibly say, besides \m/

ran upstairs around 2:30/3ish.. don't know who was spinning that 'oldies' set, but FLASHBACK to 318 Richmond days indeed. haven't heard Prodigy - Ruff (In The Jungle) played out in aons.. as well as a few other favourites from long ago! with dark/dirty atmosphere with minimal 'bling' lights, it totally echo'd what raves used to be.

oh sigh.
thanks for the memories Robotpilot+Crew!

DAVEoftheRAVE

Definately my favourite party in recent memory.

The promoters definately put everything into it that they should have. Its the little extras that are very important.

Luna-C was great as always. It would have been nice to hear some old school but the set was still good, maybe 3 hours would've been better. (:

Mannik's old school and hardcore breaks were perfect to keep the vibe going.

I used up the last bit of my energy to dance to my favourite anthems when Tyco came on.

One of the best aspects of the party was Le Freak's morning trance at the end. More parties, especially hardcore parties need to end with morning trance. It was so very good.

The vibe was amazing, everyone who wanted to be there was there and everyone was having a blast.

Huge thanks to Transplant, Robotpilot and Mannik for putting it on. <3

Amazing.

I had a wonderful time, was smiling the entire night, and the environment was perfect.

VIDA was definately a wonderful choice for this party. Just the right size.

It did get a little hot at one point, but that was only because people were all dancing and having a wonderful time.

All of the sets were great fun, really, but Saskrotch was awesome. He was so wonderfully into what he was doing. and AHHH VGM/Chiptune/Experimental breakcore @ the same time is crazy.

What made this event more than anything else, however, was the amount of time and care that was put into the wonderful LIGHTS and DECORATIONS. I actually spent time walking around just looking at the stuff that was up on the walls, and enjoying the lights. It didn't look like some dingy shithole like the Kathedral. It looked like a genuine, awesome party. I understand that @ freetek raves having lights and decorations is expensive and often pointless, but at commercial parties it can really make or break the night. Awesome visuals are pretty high up there with awesome music + awesome people, and I'm glad that David and Teva realized this. love

I hope that you two had a wonderful anniversary, and have many more.
What a wonderful way for two -amazing- members of the community to give something back.

5 stars, and much love.

gotta love bartenders who over pour! that girl was awesome!!!
Wasnt as into Luna C as i'd thought.. but he was good.. for a cd-dj! lol!!

i liked some of his jungle tunes.

other then that Deztro RIPPPED it up! and that Sean C guy had some pretty dope beats.. he shuld play sans le MC's next time.. Psyklone played some riproaring tunes as well./. nice !!
BUT..but but but... SET OF THE NIGHT is owned by SASKROTCH!!! FUCKING EH!!!!!! LOVE DAT SHIT!!!!!!

anyways.. thanks to Teva for hooking up us "ravers" at the door and accomodating my boredom on such short notice.. <3

Where to begin... 24 hour TTC access was nice, expecially for a venue that far north... it was clean and the staff were totally professional.

As for sound quality, the usual comments... STOP TURNING UP THE HIGHS!! But honestly, other than the blown out bass and trebs it was nice.

Drinks were a little on the WAY TOO EXPENSIVE side, and the bartenders were... well.. pretty faces that couldnt pour a drink. But the positive side of that is... 10 bucks for 5 shots because she over poured! happy

Now.. Psyklone's set was KILLER, Virus got me dancing, but Luna C.. that was an event unto itself!

*Cheers* to Teva and Dave for throwing a killer party!!

Wow, is it EVER nice to get away from the Big Bop.

Venue: spotless! I've never seen such a shiny venue in my life! We're all used to the perma-grime of some places, so Vida was really refreshing. Security held it down well all night; I don't think a single person got kicked out at all.

Vibe: Much smaller than a lot of the other parties I've been to. Funnily enough, that might have helped! Everyone had space to move around, and that was nice. Only complaint: How could you guys put Tyco and RobotPilot at the same time? It was hard getting time to dance to both, running up and downstairs every 5 minutes and whatnot.

oVerall: A damn good party in a refreshing venue. No huge, glaring problems, so I give 4 out of 5 stars.
