even though 'cheap&fun' was my first rave i still think it was amazing. i wasnt really that high, but it was still fun. i can't wait to go to another rave. this time e&kizzo. i heard its bomb to do together at a rave. you basically just dancedancedance like no one's watching. s`all good.

for a one room event.. the party was perfect. the djs were awesome all night Rodi Style & Opel were great together, blew everyones mind. bomber played a nice mixed up set with lots of my favourite tracks.
party was very well organized, too bad i missed most of Tim & Marty's set it was a fun one.
good job Tim & crew.

fun but not cheep...came at 1:30 to find its sold out? paid 20 bux to get so i wasnt too impressed with that but w/e. once inside i was lovin it! sick sets, wicked vibe from the crowd, loved seein every one again, and i have fallen in love with my photon lights <3

you know.. i was expecting a little more, as other Embedded events were about quality > quantity.
i brought 5 people over from a club down the street to check out the party.. we walked out after 30 minutes.
albeit the music at the time wasn't our cup of tea at the time; the crowd certainly killed our positive vibe for the night.
not only, as pre-mentioned below, the underagers being inadequately dressed, there also was a rudeness and attitude about the 'general' crowd. i had some 16-year-old fucknut consistently bump into me and be all 'wut wut' in my face. puh-lease. grow some pubic hair and then try to start shit with me k thx.
anyways, Cheap and Fun.. cheap as the truth, fun? meh. maybe if i was more high+more drunk it could have been more fun. we bailed after 30 and hit a bunch of other events/party after (Roger Sanchez spun at some boozecan up on college.. wow that redeemed the night!)
i don't blame the promoter, i blame the crowd. go have a shower. put some deoderant on. then go out into public.

I definately had an awesome time. I don't really have a problem with the girls in their bras or skimpy outfits. It is hot in there but maybe it's because I wasn't there to pick up. Maybe people are angry because they get so damn excited and then find out they're too young... not the girls' problem. Deal with your own shame.. everyone is just there to have fun.

what an awesome night! lucy and i had a great time playing, even without flybry. all the sets i heard were fabulous
just to clarify something though:
the bouncers work for the club, not the promoters. a few people showed up at the door saying they had already paid to get in, but they fingered the bouncers as being the people who took their money. That's not how things are supposed to work. We had no way of telling the difference between a real complaint like that, and the countless others who only claimed to have paid to avoid the minimal 5$ door charge. Sorry that things went that way for a few, but luckily everything went just fine for most people who came out.
so we didn't jack up the price at any point, it was 5$ all night. and well worth that, for the amount of party you got!

Yay generic party.
I came late because I had nothing better to do and didn't wanna watch Blind Date on TV. Also, it was a good excuse to see my friends.
I didn't know more than 10 people there, or maybe I did and am simply not counting right.
The crowd seemed really young and foreign to me, either way. There were definately some regulars, but there were so many new faces.
I'm really not such a big fan of the Kathedral. For serious.

had a AWSOME time at the rave and met lots of cool new ppl. would have been one of my favorites if someone didnt STEAL MY CELLPHONE... and then sell it to some random sketchy dude for $40. i thought that was realy lame. just turn in cellphones if u find them. what happened to PLUR? that kinda ruined my night.
other than that, it was a great success and was DEFFINITLY worth the money.

About the ID issue.
Back a few weeks ago, at the 4/20 event, there was a 13 YEAR OLD GIRL who overdosed on ketamine. The onsite medics could not take care of her, and she had to be taken to the hospital.
Since that episode, last minute, Reverb changed their policy on the underage issue. I was unaware of this change. I felt bad for the people who could not get in, but its not my call.
For the actual party...fantastic times!
We hit capacity and then some! We rammed that bitch!
TRIXIE - thank you for a wonderful flyer design and neck ID tags. You certainly got things started right!!
LADIUS - man o man, that was a great set. Shows what happens when you give a great dj a great setup to play on.
MIZZ LEE and LUCY FORD - Sorry about the no-show in Flybry. I didnt get any contact from him that he wasnt coming 
But the ladies were FANTASTIC. Very happy this set got recorded!  Way to go ladies!! The dancefloor was rammed!
UNABOMBER - Dude. That was one of the best sets ive heard out of Bomber. And ive been a part of a LOT of Bomber's sets. Thanks man, seriously. You had the place goin craaazy!
DJ OPEL vs RODI STYLE - Ben was amazing. Was wonderful to play on a massive 4x2 setup and to have an instant chemistry to play off each other. I hope you all enjoyed, i know Ben will be back soon for another 4x2 set!
XOFER vs GEORGE - Thank you both for playing! So much variety, and the kiddies loved it.
DYNAMIC vs MARTY - Wonderful way to end the night, and still a LOT of people there right until the end. Thanks for helping me pack the car Timmi!!
But all in all, im happy things went as well as they did. Im taking a much needed break, as i have a lot of travelling ahead. Thank you all for supporting me!

Rodi Style was unreal. Never have I yelled "what the fuck?!" so many times in a dj's set. That guy blew my mind, and has taken djing to the next level.
To the other djs that I saw that night you all did great.
Didnt mind all the young kids that much, but the guy in the rainbow outfit was something else lol.

RODI FUCKING STYLE
This guy completely redefined DJing in minutes. I have never been so entertained just WATCHING someone spin. I cannot stress enough just how top-notch this guy was. Rifuckingdiculous.
Lots of fresh faces, lots of kandie bracelets, lots of good friends... to the kids who couldn't get in, MUCH respect to your friends who didn't bail on you to party but stayed outside with you instead. I wish I had had a few more CDs on me so I could have gotten you all some... you guys had PLUR on display right there.
Unfortunately missed Trixxie's set which was one I was really excited for; she must come back to Toronto soonest! Caught the end of Ladius, crazy stuff, he was working up a sweat with the three turntable madness. Mizz Lee and Lucy Ford always a treat, Unabomber with the AWESOME hardcore selections, really enjoyed this set... then Opel and Rodi Style, already described that awesomeness  George and Xofer had a bit of trouble working out the setup (it was complex up there man!) but definitely had some stompin' tunes up there (Noisia remix of Sweet Dreams? Hell yeah!). And finally Marty and I played for the hardcore kids who stayed til the end and we had a blast doing it, was a true pleasure to play b2b with one of the legends of the Toronto rave community. Next time we'll play his records. 
Much respect to Opel, a top notch production as always, 'twas most definitely cheap and fun!!!

I had a good time either way... although when I went to get pizza I couldn't get back into the rave so I ended up hanging out in a park freezing for a few hours with a friend

My friend and I showed up late (About 1-ish). We were originally there earlier, but ended up walking all the way back to Union station with a friend of ours who couldn't get in, 'cause she didn't bring ID. When we got back, they had a "sold-out" sign on the door. We had to pay the bouncer $20 each before she let us in. I suppose it's a lesson learned, or... something. Either way, it wasn't exactly "cheap", but at least it was still fun.
