Who wrote " the embassy is always sick?"
the embassy is a hole in the ground where rave rain pours down on you in the bathroom and you contract vineraeal diseases. . . . .still, i give it a 4/5

Goes to show you that the best promoters are the ones who truely love the scene.
Saturday December 16, 2006 - 12:56 AM
WHAT A FUCKING NIGHT! thanks for everyone had actually came out to support the WHAT?! crew and the hard work put into the party, in the end i think everyone was pleased and equally appreciated it as much as the members did. A great night and thats all that matters. Awsome preformances and good people...and the suprised MC that was totally unplanned!
Thursday December 14, 2006 - 2:18 PM

Wednesday December 13, 2006 - 3:01 PM
I had much fun, on and off the decks.

I'm sure this won't be forgotten.
Wednesday December 13, 2006 - 9:14 AM
Good job you guys! the lights were insane and all sets were amazing, especially flim/corrosive feedback/spector and tippy/klonze/jimmy hash.
Monday December 11, 2006 - 10:04 PM
Good job guys! That place was POUNDING!
I still hear ringing in my ears!
Monday December 11, 2006 - 9:13 PM
I got to the event around 10:30. Caught mostly everyone's sets cept for the first round.
Here were my favorites:
I only caught a bit of Trixie's set, but from what I caught she played a couple of my favorite tracks!
3-Headed Monster (Mr. Tippy, Klonez, Jimmy Hash) played one killer set that had most of the croud in the Whippet Lounge! With a personalized intro that blew everyone's minds away! Great job with that last minute production job Dima!
Duotone (Cynex and Monophonic) played a LOT of danceable tracks...meaning anyone off the street would've loved their breaks/house set!
Pay the DJ and Jeph w Mista Mensa most definately had the best jungle set that night! Pay played amazingly as per usual! And I've been telling everyone, Jeph's one brilliant producer, and he proved me sooooo right Saturday night...that guy is definately going places!
Bowzer w MC Fly Bry was also amazing! I loved his style of jungle, but what I really appreciated is that he threw down some SICK-ASS dubstep tunes. I don't think London's quite ready for that genre yet, but there were definately the few of us on the floor that were able to get down and dirty to those fat-ass baselines. Bry also did a great job as per usual...even gave me an awesome shout out that would make any girl swoon. ...THANKS BRY!
Now, whenever I see FLIM play he always manages to amaze me! The energy he brings to the stage, the music, the croud is always a thrill! The first half of the set with Corrosive Feedback and Specter was a nice touch and added some dimension and diversity to the set as well!
Awesome by Association is always and will always be just that...AWESOME! Seeing these two play would put a smile on anyone's face, and put a kick-step into their feet!
After the party I had a few really cool cats back at the dungeon (my apartment). We smoked some mint shisha amongst other such things, spun some tunes and had an absolute BALL!
Great job guys! If your goal was to have a decent croud, wicked music, and an awesome vibe than this event was a success! Being your first event, I'm sure there were lots of things you want to change to make the next one even better!
Lookin' forward to it!

wow..... just wow.
i cant believe how amazing everything turned out.
to start things off, thank you all so much for coming out, miller and i could not have pulled this off without the support of all our beloved friends coming out for our party.
it's been one hell of a past couple months getting everything together, and having to deal with so many changes along the way; both party-wise and not.
a special thank you goes out to cam & jess for having made the most incredible flyer for our party, not to mention the super cool vip/staff/production passes made for us. we couldn't have done this without your help. also a thanks to ScumDJS who helped us out at their past couple events with promotion, and giving us a good sense of how to get things done and get things done right
a thanks to the embassy for keeping everything steady all day, all night and even in the morning for set up. thank you to the bouncers: you kept things together when the irresponsibles' couldn't; both for our company and for the venue.
thank you to music express who set us up with one of london's best experience in music and sound at the embassy hotel. thanks for being there the whole night to keep things going smoothly and fixing anything during set up.
thanks to MC Caddy Cadd who randomly showed up and mc'd for our amazing party.
thanks to branden drouin and his letting us use his table after mine kicked the bucket during sound check.
thanks to all our close friends who came before the party and helped us get things set up and ready on time; as well as to those who sacrificed so much to help things stay steady throughout the night.
thanks to EVERYONE who helped out during the party (coatcheck / front door / etc.). thankyou for giving up your own time so miller and i could do our own thing all night.
a thanks goes out to our dear friend adam. only having known each other as neighbours for a short period of time
a HUGE thanks to all the wonderful dj's that showed up, not only that they all showed up on time, but were also able to keep the timeslots going right on time and at a consistent pace.
a personal thanks to the one person, who may not realize, but helped me keep my head on straight and thinking positively about things the past few weeks before the party. we all know how difficult it is to get things done when times are tough.
a thanks to fanshawe college and their partially shitty schooling. without your crappy education skills i never would have taken off time from my schooling to bring to london one the best events ever experienced.
and a thanks to anyone else whom i've forgotten that helped make this night possible.

the night of December 9th, 2006 will be one i hope we all will never forget. i know i never will forget it.
Spectrum of Sound offered amazing sound, incredible lighting, and the most, and i mean THE MOST spectacular vibe all night long.
THANK YOU EVERYONE
i hope everyone had the best time and us here at What?! Productions can't wait to bring you another dose of our finest work.
* * *
and my final 100% thanks goes out to the one and only Ryan Miller, the other half of What?! Productions. we pulled off something we originally thought was only a dream. your help and friendship ... words cannot describe. we never had issues between us; we put 110% effort into the party when we were able to give it. this would have never happened without the full out 50%/50% involvement between the both of us, from beginning to end: a partnership of not only business, but friendship that made us What?! we are. to you, i give all my thanks. we will change london, and one day the rest of the world with it.

Monday December 11, 2006 - 2:17 AM
great party. great production company serious.
lots of drinking involved, best party london has had all year. and even gettign a crowd in london is tough, try throwing a fucking great event like these guys did.
all around they took care into a lot of things that first event throwers might not know. great event
music rocked the place in both rooms. and once again embassy staff were more than courteous to a few of us. may be a dive of a thing to look at, but they have modded their sound and electrical systems to feed off londons new energy vibe.
dont remember too much, but yes.. LOTS of beer.
Sunday December 10, 2006 - 9:35 PM

I had a great time last night.!! (too bad I had to work this morning and leave at 1:30am) Wicked vibe, great tunes and great DJ's.
I give it 4 stars ( only because the Embassy is kinda grungy.. I know how hard it is to find venues in London though)
Sunday December 10, 2006 - 7:45 PM

Sunday December 10, 2006 - 4:26 PM
I'm going to give this 5 stars.
This was What's 1st event and it was in London and they rammed the house, sure it wasnt the best venue in the world but honestly there have been tons of worse ones i have played.
I enjoyed my set with Bowzer even though people were pretty much done raving at 3am and we didnt go on until 3:30 and the late night dubstep really put people to sleep.
Set of the night in the main room goes to Dubcomm & Faktah.
In the 2nd room i only got to catch a bit of ABA & Flim but they were rocking it like they always do.
Thanks for having me out London town.
I hope to come back.

I think spectrum of sound was the best London party this entire year. big big big big ups to miller and heersink
